How much value do you put into visual direction?
Its what will determine if a media piece still holds up in the future visually
Depending on the media, it may or not be the most important thing but good direction is always valuable

In a visual medium it's obviously incredibly important, so I put a lot of value into it. If a movie or TV series doesn't have good cinematography it can be kind of a pain to watch. However, that doesn't mean that I need really complex visuals: I think games like Dwarf Fortress and Nethack are beautiful in the simplicity of their visuals and how it lets you use your imagination to fill in all the pieces.
It's important.
If something doesn't have any visual flair, you might as well just listen to music or something.

I generally have an incredibly hard time replaying older games with shitty graphics; but for some reason 3D zelda is an exception to this rule
Something about the art style just makes it completely playable even nearly 20 years later
