I'm ok. I am in a point in life where I can do something creative and people pay me for it. I own a home, I have a degree, and I get the satisfaction of 10s of thousands of people telling me that I'm doing alright.

Nah I'm depressed. Or maybe I'm not. I don't know. Last night was the first night I've ever actually felt like I've got nothing to live for, so that's progress in it I suppose.

Psychotherapists really don't work that way. They'll treat your mental illness as what it is; An illness.

If you have any family who aren't sacks of shit, talk to them too. But you have to want to be better to solve your problems.

I'm happy in the moment but I dread change. The one thing I do not want happening is my current life situation to be different, and sadly it will have to change sooner or later.

Not looking forward to it one bit. So instead, I distract myself by trying to enjoy it as much as possible

I'm quite happy.

I am well-educated and intelligent, good at sports, talented in the arts, healthy, and independent of women.

So why do I feel that I need something more?

I am content because i have a job and live alone. I havent found what would truly make me happy in life. Maybe a sexy and loving wife with my children might do it, or something gay like that.
For now, all i have is memes...

All of us? Probably not. I can't speak for any of you. I like where I am right now though, and my "everyone that isn't me doesn't matter" stance on life keeps things very simple most of the time, so I'm happy.

Was annoyingly depressed, but now on sertraline which is actually helping a bit; less angry too. Happy is always temporary so I'm OK with just "satisfied". Every so often I find a new thing to study and that keeps me from getting bored.

Not "rich" but I have enough right now. That's fine with me. Rich can be a problem in ways you don't expect.

They aren't wrong about exercise. Maybe you're the exception, but statistically it would make you happier if you do it consistently. Try social exercises if possible, like go to gym classes or play sports. People are made happier by social connections. If you're just running on a treadmill by yourself it's harder to get satisfaction from that.
