The trouble with namefagging and tripfagging isn't that namefags and tripfags make nothing but mediocre, self-absorbed posts - which they do - it's that it becomes possible to observe that they are consistently mediocre and self-absorbed. Anonymous posters are just as shit but you don't notice it because you don't know what they're like from post to post. It then develops into tripfags and namefags becoming defensive about their low quality posts and acting ironically smug and superior like they're only pretending to be shit to troll you. Sad.
