Hmm. I'm conflicted Fuck Hillary, but I was really hoping that Trump would change his tactics post nomination and just focus on the issues that made him popular. After that first debate last week, I'm having a really hard time convincing even myself that I should vote for him. I still agree with the general FUCK THE ESTABLISHMENT protest vote, but he's becoming way too crazy and narcissistic to defend that idea. That thing about fucking up the Iranian Navy for laughing at us was too much to take. The god damned ship our sailors were on is enough of a middle finger, and yes it would start a war. Fuck.

The guy has an attention span of five minutes at most, and you want him to be president? You're nuts.

A lot of people like the idea of Trump, a billionaire who fucked the establishment so hard that it sent the MSM reeling for 6 months, and who would implement ideas to help the common man.

But Trump isn't that guy no matter how much /pol/ wants to say he is. The policies he proposes are destructive, and he tried to make Kaisich his VP to do all his work ("foreign and domestic policy").

It's clear to me he doesn't want to govern the US, he wants to be the figurehead and let people below him deal with the real problems. And when I see Pence in his own Evangelist world, I can't support him or his ideals.

I hope you'll look hard at Trump and see whether you like what you find.

Yeah, but I was never really delusional about that. It was clear that he wanted the "prize", and didn't want to lead.

And that was the first thing that really killed it for me. I can't name someone that would have been good, but some no-name fucker from the mid-west with no leadership experience was the first and the strongest bullet in the campaign for me. Frankly, I was always certain I was voting more his VP than him in terms of leadership.

The problem is that I'm still conflicted. I understand, agree with, and can't even begin to argue with any of the anti-Trump arguments. However, I'm still convinced of the original argument - America is fucked in terms of leadership and desperately needs a corrosive populist attack that will hopefully convince our regular leaders that they need to do their jobs. And no, I don't give a shit about left or right. Most recently, I'd give a shit about the Suing Saudi Arabia Bill that was the first thing that anyone vetoed Obama on. That sounds great, until I learned the details. And I would have fucking hoped that the people in power would do their god damned jobs and fucking understood it enough to do THEIR jobs. So, with something like that happening, I'm still mostly convinced that the entire world should be fucked via Trump in order to make the god damned point that these people in the Senate and Congress should actually read the things they vote on and not just waive their dicks towards the "party" line.

To be entirely fair to Pence, he was in the House for 2 years and is a Governor after all. I don't live in Indiana so I can't say how well he's doing.

I understand the sentiment. The Saudi bill was clearly just 9/11 pandering for re-election by establishment Repubs. The only person who voted 'Nay' was someone who wasn't up for re-election.

"Change, for better or worse" is something I've weighed on my mind as well.

I don't personally find it worthwhile. I live in Brownback country, where our Governor has managed to tank our economy through the same policies that Trump is proposing. We would have a return to the 2008 depression if he is elected, in my opinion.

I can also see the turmoil in the rest of the world and I think the next 4-8 years will be very interesting times.

That's all I have to say. Choose who you want.
