I haven't played past Black Flag either, but I can tell you with 100% certainty that they haven't.

Speaking of, I need to finish Black Flag. I would have taken an entire game just focusing on sailing, because that's all I did in the game. I had completed about 75% of the collectathon bullshit on the boat before I even got to the "become an official assassin" story mission.
