Automata thread

So I had some unfinished side quests from my first playthough as 2B and now on the 9S playthough I have to do them all over again.

When I get the ability to switch between the characters will my progress be saved on 2B and I can just go back and finish them quickly or do I just have to do them all again from the start?

I have two trophies left for the platinum (last two endings) and I have clocked 59 hours in so far. Approximately 10 of those were spent fishing.
