Why did Emil stop fighting the aliens? Was it because he created so many copies of himself, and with every copy his memory degraded, to the point he and the others lost the memory of what they were, and therefore no longer knew of their own power and ability to fight?

Wouldn't he have been fighting the machines as well? They're the attack arm of the aliens, just because the aliens are hiding and then dead doesn't mean he'd stop fighting. Machines are still attacking the remnants of humanity (the androids)

The machine collective would have needed time to recover after the ayy lmao's were killed off. There surely would have been a pause in combat at that point where the machines simply stopped fighting, long enough for Emil to have forgotten after cloning himself
