So /v/ I'm looking for a particular type of game if you could rec me some, the catch is that it must include a cast of characters who are friends or allies trying to solve a mystery.

The obvious examples include:
Persona 3 and 4
Ace Attorney series
Danganronpa series
Zero Escape series
Catherine
Corpse Party

Those are all the one's I've played, can anyone recommend any more?

Also, horror games kind of remind me of games like this as well, like Condemned, RE4, Call of Cthulhu, etc.

If you like those kinds of games, give the Professor Layton series a try. Especially considering Ace Attorney had a crossover game with it already.

Ok cool thanks I still need to play Hotel Dusk and Ghost Trick as well because I don't have a DS/3DS and emulating them is hard.

Kara no Shoujo doesn't have any "power of friendship" bullshit, but it is about a detective solving mysteries, occasionally with some help from his friends.
