There are a few things that the fan translation rightfully has but the official one doesn't, like the american soldiers speaking in butchered japanese.

A big problem is that Japanese as a language is very open for interpretation.

You can deduct how important Yamato is by simply looking at the cover art, bonus soundtrack cover, and the fact that he is the only character to get two promo videos. Quite important. A joke among the Japanese is that he's the heroine. The game's name, "Break Record", appears to be named after his route or at least related to its concept through word play.

You get him back on Thursday. Like the Septentrione arc, the dragon stream plays an important role in the story. You can't defeat Miyako, free Alcor from imprisonment, or defeat Canopus without him because of Hotsuin shit. Your data is glitchy because you protected Alcor from an attack and it damaged your data, and Yamato is staying in the Akashic Stratum to continuously repair it. The world with Miyako in it is actually a reset version of one where they fought the Triangulum before but lost because your damaged data caused you to disappear. Yamato was the last human alive and managed to kill the last Triangulum by himself but was fatally wounded in the process. As he was dying, Yamato wanted Alcor to give him another chance, to which Alcor takes Yamato to the Akashic Stratum, resets the world again, and an error caused from the missing Yamato, who's repairing your data so you don't disappear again in that world, causes Miyako.

As for how everybody reacts to you becoming administrator in Alcor's ending, the only ones who know are Alcor, Miyako, Yamato, and at the last minute, Daichi, because you lie to everybody so they wouldn't be worried and Yamato is the only one who sees through your lies. Yamato was upset, but he respects your decision and has faith that you know what's best. He gives a speech before you go where tldr he says he's honoured that he'll protect a world that will be watched over by you. While everybody else is lying outside the room unconscious, Daichi awakens, walks in on it, figures out what's going on, then breaks down in tears while reminiscing the things you wanted to do together. Miyako was supposed to accompany you but Alcor kicks her off the pedestal before you go and tells her to live her life happily as a human. When it's time for you to go, Yamato and Daichi freak out and dash to the pedestal as you and Alcor finally disappear for good.

The Triangulum story is a little sadder than the Septentrione one, but if you do Yamato's ending you'll leave on a lighter note.

And yeah, he's loyal to you regardless of what ending you choose. A reoccurring theme in BR is that you need each other. Yamato can't win without you, you can't win without him, and you have to keep seeking each other out. Every single thing he does is done for you or because of you. He'll readily be put through hell if it means protecting the MC and his ideals.

By the end of the story he's as close to you as Daichi and Io are, maybe closer. He's the only one who walks right up to you when everybody meets up again in his ending.

Miyako, I feel she's fine but forgettable amongst the rest of the characters because I'm not into her gimmick, but that's my opinion. She felt disconnected from everything going on with the characters and story outside her own problems, and she felt like a plot device most of the time. Some of the "woe is me" coming from her in attempt to garner sympathy backfired and was a little bit annoying. Sharing the spotlight with Yamato, who I felt was the most well-written character, doesn't exactly help her either due to the contrast in writing quality. On the other hand, she's at her best when interacting with him due to their amusing fights, and accidentally helping each other realise things they don't pick up on their own because they're both socially inept.

As for Miyako's feelings, I'm not sure how to interpret. You could say she's into you, though not as much as the three clear ones (Io, Makoto, Yamato), but there's also behavior between her and Daichi that could be interpreted as flirtatious and she's close to Io. Io tries to fill the role for Miyako that you do for Yamato.

She makes fun of Yamato and calls him a dog because of his devotion/obsession with you which makes me question how she feels. If it's anything, it's not as intense as the other characters.

I made this graph earlier for my own purposes. Obviously she appeared to originally be more law when working for her dad. But turned chaos when he went crazy. Then realized that that mentality was a little extreme once sayaka started going crazy, and became closer to neutral.

Mami I put halfway between law and neutral, since it seems that in the main story she more or less knew what was going on and was going along with it even trying to get more people involved, knowing the ramifications. But its unclear what percentage of this was for selfish reasons versus actually agreeing with the role.

Homura in a way has a little chaos, but I think that may be closer to dark neutral than to chaos. Its more general than literal. I only spent a few minutes making it.

This is an interesting thing relating to the alignments in general. Since it basically hints at that yamato was chaotic in a sense all along, but went along with polaris because it was just how to get what he wanted. And even though the first game treated AO like chaos, this new ending isn't much different than his original one. And if this is the new "law" ending, then that means that retroactively his first ending was kind of lawful in a way, too.

Or maybe they just don't give a shit whether it makes sense, because desu2 is now popular, so they want to just throw the characters into a tenuously related story.

Its also kind of ironic that desu pretended to have more endings than just law / neutral / chaos, and yet overclocked ultimately just scaled it down to having those three endings. If they really wanted they could have made an eight day for gin and atsuro. Hell, gins would have been interesting. Make up some excuse for why the comps and your magic still worked, but you have no demons. Either make you fight with no demons against some group that is trying to find some way to bring them back, or give you some token humans who you put in your demon slots.

Then for atsuro it could even have a split of its own that's internally alignment based. Have two different people tying to take over the demonic power in the name of the government, and you side with one or the other. And they vaguely reflect law and chaos, but human versions of them, giving two different endings. This would make for an interesting split in general, since if atsuro's ending counted as anther version of either law or chaos, then counting gin, overclocked has two of each.

The thing about Alcor is that he doesn't intervene like Polaris and is all for human freedom. Putting him on the throne was more of a necessity since they had no idea how else to get rid of the overlord. Same with Yamato only making a deal with Polaris out of necessity. They had no clue how to overthrow him and didn't want to try anything dangerous for humanity (and when they do it causes the Triangulums).

Well, a lot of people here and in the fandom in general seem to think chaos only counts as chaos if its tribal people punching eachother in the dick in a jungle with no laws. There's no actual reason to assume he doesn't understand even the basics of interaction if he understood thousands of years earlier the implications of giving humans art, fire, and civilization. Its one thing if he just recently started interacting with them. But he's been there since before the dawn of history. Small warning. Although its a lot of people's favorite game, this is mostly due to the battle system. Mythology wise, nocturne is known as the odd one out, since while it has a lot of mythological references, it just kind of throws them all over the place haphazardly in a way that makes it obvious they were just kind of using any demon wherever. You'll need to go into some other games in the series to actually feel like the demons are used right according to their mythology.

Digital devil saga has some demons appear in it, but they're mostly used in a way similar to persona, rather than being "real demons." As far as mythology goes, its less about the demons themselves, and more about hindu theology of the world in general. With a little bit of buddhist or other theologies thrown in. Note that digital devil saga 1 & 2 are considered one game. The story from one leads directly into 2 after a cliffhanger that is meaningless by itself.

Devil summoner 1&2 has a lot of demons and they actually have personalities. But they're mostly used to tell a story rather than their mythology BEING the story. Raidou 1&2 are technically evil summoner 3&4 despite being called 1&2. They have demons too and are good games, but mostly are just telling a story. Their story ties into mainline a bit and adds to those themes though, but tht won't mean much to you unless you've played those games.

Mainline is 1, 2, nocturne, SJ, and IV. And all but nocturne try to use their demons in thematic ways that tie into a larger world as a whole. With in game "religions" that have to do with them, and which show their relation to humans. For the sake of argument, devil survivor one is thematically considered part of mainline. Devil survivor 2 and nocturne are thematically a little different, but still do have a lot of demons that are shown interestingly. Even though they are used weirdly, nocturne still has a lot of cool demons in it which are given personalities.

Pretty much any game in the series is a great game though. (Though some appeal more to some people than others.) And though the world and mythology of the series itself is interesting and huge, there isn't really any one game that is going to show all of it in a way that does perfect justice. Many of them add to eachother.

Ignoring that their argument breaks down when you ask what he was shitposting about, and point out that almost all his posts were responses to other neutral shitposters, often many at once. So you can't really paint that as a one way street if you think it was a problem.
