I'm not familiar with FE myself but I have wondered that. Are the FE heroes that varied in alignments for a crossover to work? Would IS approve of making a game where they all kill each other in a serious setting? Shit, I really need to try out that series sometime.

I don't think SMT x FE is going to have the traditional SMT cliches in it. It'll probably be a composite of SMT and FE elements. It's not called SMT Featuring characters from the Fire Emblem series or anything.

While that is true I do hope there is some sort of alignment system since it's such a big thing to SMT, even if it doesn't work exactly like it does in the series.

I get the feeling one reason why it's taking so long for any info to come out is because they're trying to figure out how to make all the elements mesh.

I think they'll have to play around with SMT's alignments a bit. The closest thing FE has to SMT's constant alignment/passion vs order etc philosophy is the political conflict elements imo so maybe tie that in.

Look at it this way; Marth is a character who needs to lead (whether it be a ragtag army or a country), but he is unwilling to make the sacrifices necessary to do so efficiently (he tries to avoid letting any of his soldiers die, which certain characters such as his sister mention as being weakpoints he has to overcome if he wants to be a good king). He's high up in the hierarchy and he wants to stay there most likely, but that's because he wants to help people as ruler.

With these in mind, I'd make him Light-Law. He wants to keep a hierarchy but he wouldn't be willing to go the lengths of genocide etc the angels so often advocate.

They'd have to play around with each character's nuances to make them work imo, but it COULD work.

-There are two routes, one where you play as Flynn, and one where you play as Lucina. (You name both of them, and whoever you choose will be a silent character)
-It will play like a traditional mainline SMT game with Press Turn and dungeon crawling
-It takes place in modern Tokyo. The Amala Network is involved
-If you choose Flynn, it will take place in the middle of SMT IV's story, if you choose Lucina, it will take place after the sacifice ending
-all characters will have significant importance

I imagine the likes of Kaneko and whoever is the higher up for FE are hammering out story ideas, themes etc. What should the conflict be, how should they contrast the series etc. Gameplay is probably being developed already but I think story side of things will be where most of the work needs to be done.

Sega/Atlus cares more about Persona and undercuts any potential for mainline and other spin-offs, or it's just not as fun without Cozy, or he's just bored with it finally. Whatever.

He was doing art for these Jiken books, and the cover for that gay cop thing, but I haven't seen any evidence that he's up to anything. If he actually is leaving Megaten behind him, I still want to see him continue to do art for something.

So in Sector Grus, you have that big alignment moment necessary to get to Maya. How significant of a bump is it in either direction? I have EX Missions saved on the top floor of Eridanus for something like this, so I may as well side with Jimenez for now. The worst that could happen is that I just decide to knock off the chaos ending in my first playthrough.

Both options are equally shitty, but Jack's Squad knew the risks.
