While waiting for that P4Arena sequel that I never bought for the PS3 I never owned, I decided to finish that golden animation, and let me tell you, I don't really hate it. I mean sure, I didn't get my hot persona-on-god combat action I wanted, and Marie wouldn't stop being a tsundere bitch in the beginning, but I just now realize she makes the ending make more sense. Symbolism-wise of course. It's satisfying to know she wasn't just ham-fisted in like I thought she was.

I just have one big question.
Wasn't this series was supposed to have a higher budget? Pic related obviously.

Well, primary thing is to grab him before he grabs you. Try and bait him into using his persona so you can punish and break it. Kanji ain't shit without it.

Also try using Take-Minazuchi's lightning bolt spam if you're basically one full screen away from him. If Kanji tries to come in with the dive, use Take's anti-air grab.

Yeah, I'd say so. There's 25 challenges for each character, with 5 for the shadows. If you did Kanji's in the first game, it shouldn't be hard to do it again since the requirement is the same.

Well, his primary gimmick is that Koromaru (the dog) takes the place of his Persona buttons. Light Persona attack makes him actually attack, heavy calls him away so he can heal and avoid getting hit.

If you beat up Koromaru enough he gets KO'd and Ken can't use him for a decently lengthy amount of time.

Any way to get the loop off of a heat riser combo that starts with a couple As for confirmation, midscreen?

Obviously a punish combo like 5B>5C>B.Heat Riser can do the loop because the hitstun scaling is low and you should be -relatively- close to him when the 5C hits(hell, sweep->SB gunshot is almost better to be honest), but with A's, hitstun gets too low, or you are too far away for the B.Heat Riser to even hit. Even 5AAAxxB.Heat Riser can't loop if I remember correctly. Truly suffering.

Sounds like typical online Kanji business. Dropping combos early and getting the command grab is cheese all online Kanjis do. It really is a 50/50. Generally you want to just hold up-back against him since he only gets minimum damage off a 5A htiting an airborne opponent.

Well, I'm not a great Kanji. If you want to stop me from getting close, then keep ducking. I have a lot of trouble with ducking since Kanji's approaches are predictable and he can't air dive anyone that ducks. If Kanji is near you on the ground, jumping is generally a good idea. His anti-air attacks are pretty slow and you don't want to get grabbed.

Can someone rank the characters from easiest to hardest to play? I'm stuck on pad and I'm having a hard time doing more advanced combos with certain characters. I'm having trouble with Yukari, who I really wanted to play. I'm sticking with Junpei who feels easy enough. His Bnbs are pretty simple.

This first vid is bretty gud. The later ones are more specific to Street Fighter 4, but first one is solid for pretty much any 2D fighting game.

I think the key point is not to fret too much about combos, especially the long flashy ones at first. Most of the people you'll be playing won't be able to do them either and if you have better fundamentals, you'll beat them with auto-combos and specials.

Man, I'm torn between Adachi, Ken and Marie for a sub. Adachi requires the most work but is fun, Ken is feels almost like Relius and Marie is really easy to combo with. Suggestions?

Kanji's VA is basically a Troy Baker sound-alike. Teddie's VA also does a pretty good imitation. Naoto's VA is a little different, a little higher pitched, but it's not that far off.
