The story's mostly fine. Add some dialogue that'd hint they're trapped in a time loop and that's why there's so much apparent time nonsense. Add some explanation from Mephiles that he needed Iblis in an advanced yet pure state, and that ti was sealed in the tears of Elise, or something.

And then focus more on the dialogue and character scenes. The story wants to be fairy-tale-ish, so the focus has to be on that. Add some whimsy.

Maybe I phased this wrong. What I mean is that usually when an old character appears in recent games they are usually just "there" and don't do that much in terms of story or gameplay, like they didn't necessarily have to be included. For example Amy in Unleashed, most of the characters in Colors DS, Knuckles and Amy in Lost World. They are still there but they're only "there", where as in the Classics, Adventure, Heroes, and now Boom all or most of the main characters are in the foreground and have some impact on the game story-wise or gameplay-wise, making their inclusion have more pupose.

A lot of people demand Sonic and Eggman do this because we haven't received playstyles that are very similar to Sonic and are good; specifically taking about the 3D console games since that's where most of the complaints come from. And the characters that are similar to Sonic end up being straight up clones(ex SA2 Shadow, Sonic Heroes Speed types,)

Sonic Team never really bothered on making Sonic's friends really fun to play as on the post-Genesis console game for a lot of people, so they question what it the point of them.

Don't start with Gens, instead, start with 1, 2, and 3&K. Then go to SA1 to get Modern Sonic's roots, got to SA2 to understand all the hype, then play the Advance series and Rush. The most I can think of is some kind of reference only the comic readers would catch. Actually putting the character in the game could only realistically happen if the Boom became a side series, the comic continued with it, and the comic brought in the Archie characters, which could then be put into the games since the Boom comic actually ties into Shattered Crystal, meaning anything in the comics would be fair game anywhere else in the Boom series.
Also the 5 pages of the Boom Comic are only a preview. The full comic will be 30 pages.

Well, I just got here so I'm gonna answer anyway even though I'm a few hours late.

The first game I played as an adult was Generations, and while I obviously didn't get into the nostalgia I did have a ton of fun. Problem is that afterwards everything else I played of the modern stuff wasn't very fun, but it worked perfectly to get me very interested and on the lookout for more. It wasn't very nice at all to find out that pretty much everything else was released for consoles.

He gave me his fan fiction account in the thread and I was recently going through some old stuff.. found him and decided to say hi. 4chan was a subject. You can "meet" people, it's just how willing you are to give some way to keep in touch.

The project is, in a nutshell, to give Tails a better ending. Something he'd be happy with. To explain how it was inspired I'd need to basically give you my life story and I'm sure there are far better subjects to talk about. Let's just say that I could really sympathize with Tails when it came to Fiona.. I really took those early comic issues personally. I wrote something on the spot. That was 2 years ago. Today, I'm working on the soundtrack to the 3rd chapter and I hope to finish it all by Christmas.

Well, I don't share much in common with Sonic, to be honest. He's outgoing, sly, and quick with a comeback. I'm introverted and tend to shy away from confrontation or interaction outside of my small circle, and I'm pretty easily aggravated.

Sonic's pretty awesome, too. I remember in elementary I used to act like him all the time and I think that's probably why I can talk kind of cartoony now. At lunch a couple of my friends and I would get together and play as Sonic characters. It was funny, 'cause they related to their character in a sort of way. The friend who'd later turn out to be all dark and stuff played as Shadow and the one who's just happy with the one thing he loved was Knuckles. And I find it kind of silly, this coming from a Tails fan because a lot of them take offense at Tails being a called girl. We had a lady friend play Tails a couple of times.

The problem really is the delay on the wagglan. Not much can be done about it unfortunately. The physics...idk you just gotta get used to it or resign yourself to hating it.

I really like medieval settings, so I toughed it out and stuck around for the ride and wasn't disappointed as far as the setting and atmosphere was concerned, but if you really don't enjoy it you shouldn't force yourself to play.
