It depends on so many variables.

Atlus developed the engine for P5 completely in-house. If they developed that engine anticipating the PS4, it won't be as hard as it might seem. The PS4 dev kits have been around since, what, late 2012 or so?

If they didn't though, it could be as bad as writing a new engine from scratch for PS4 and that will greatly increase development time.

I'd argue P1 and P4 still have the most 'grounded' characters in the series, in that it was mostly fairly ordinary individuals with normal lives that get tossed into crazy shit. P2/P3 has some wacky, unusual backgrounds for nearly every main character, usually trying to connect the cast together. Not sure what direction P5's heading in.

Any news on patch 1.02 or palette 27/28/29 DLC yet?

P4G clearly was made with PS3 in mind, but then shifted to Vita to push it. All those considerably higher-res textures and such are completely lost on Vita, especially since the game doesn't even run at Vita's native resolution.

Main character goes to a fancy academic school that treats its rich kids very strictly and is very imprisoning.

The other party members are mostly geeks, from strict families or plain people who are forced to study all the time and don't have a lot of freedom. One of the party members will be a bully who changes his opinion of you when you save them with your Persona.

Your antagonists will be some sort of authority figure like a powerful public offical or popular academic and their fans, who will be doing something like possibly causing the "dregs" of society (the unpopular, the losers, the social outcasts) to go mad judging by those news banners, and you need to help save them using supernatural means. (I'd rather the victims are other people not the party members though because P4 already did that).

The Personas would be Goetic demons to go with the imprisoned, constrained aspect (demons being stuck in hell and only allowed to be summoned for specific services against their will) and covered in chains, and the summoning item will be something surprisingly low-tech like a lock and key or something.

The game will have a finale where the protagonists battle their way up a skyscraper and defeat the main antagonist on the rooftop.

That's what my tea-reading tells me, anyway.

I'd like some improvements to how S Links are integrated in to the game. I'd like it if later cutscenes reflected if you were at rank 10 with someone or not, like references to the party's upgraded Personas and the various events of their S Links, or if you're dating just one girl it's acknowledged. Had some ideas for possible mechanics and tweaks for dating. Some more plausible than other since romance is just a cute extra in most games with proportional time and energy poured into their development:

When girls try to initiate a romance thing with you, you either get an opportunity to tell them that you're seeing someone else or they mention that fact themselves.

A bit of extra dialogue where she expresses surprise or blatant jealousy when you compliment other girls.

Flirt options during story events

Depending on the girl's personality (or your choices), your entire team may or may not know that the two of you are even in a relationship. You get a couple of teasing lines if they do, not much, just enough to make it feel that your relationship has genuine presence.

Hanging out with her even after you've started a relationship or MAXED her link has the two of you running into other Social Link characters during your dates. You get to see them and your gf react, and depending on what you do, you can get social link points with the third wheel du jour. (ex. Help STAR search for his pet?)

Maybe a flirty texting mechanic ala Catherine. The right choices can give either you or her stat boosts, increases personal qualities of yours (expression, understanding, courage etc.) or have her send you unique pics of what she's doing or what the two of you did during a date.

Battle bonuses with gf she's from your team. (ex. healing spells heal more, buffs last longer, follow-up attacks occur more frequently) If she isn't, Personas of her arcana get higher crit rates or automatically give you (or your team) a certain buff at the start of battle.

She can break up with you if you act in certain ways.

Some unique emotional stuff during the end game where she gives you more encouragement in the spirit bomb cut scenes.

Dating multiple girls nixes all of the above benefits.
