A question for Gilfags. There's a thing I encountered in Extella regarding Gigameshl that didn't make sense to me.

First, context. Nasu has said Gilgamesh is good judge of people, being a King who judges all and all that shit. We have seen this in effect in almost all of his appearances. He judges can "people", but we're talking about fighting power here. He's good at it, as shown when he backed away from a full powered Saber in UBW, but went close to her and played around against a weakened Saber in Fate. Same with Archer, he quickly judged him a threat and disposed of him. Nasu said he said he knows well enough to not even attempt fighting Kojirou in close range. This is what leads to his downfall against Shirou in UBW. He judged Shirou inept, and he was so confident in his judgement that he didn't even start fighting until it was too late. He judged correctly, Shirou was weak, but he had Archer's move that was strong against Gilgamesh in particular, which cost Gilgamesh his life.

Now, I finally got around playing Extella, and I came across the scene where he jobbed to Lu Bu, because he never even guessed that Lu Bu could be strong. He jobbed like the King of Jobbers he is, being BTFO by him easily. Explain this. Can you finally admit that he's an inconsistent and shittily written plot devise character?
