Still new to Destiny 2, what is the recommended thing to do with exotic engrams at low levels? I got impatient and just decrypted it but whatever. I'm still learning this game. I played Destiny 1 since right after launch and used to be fairly active in /dg/

I somewhat bought it to kill time while waiting for GT Sport.
After playing for a couple hours, gameplay feels a lot better than D1, and the story is what D1 should've also been. Slower ROF Sub machine guns feel nice. Hopefully scouts don't all have that nasty high zoom because it feels off on low-mid encounters.

So, I really don't know anything about this game, and I only bought it because a friend of mine who lives on the other side of the country is crazy about it. Putting aside whether the game is any good or not, I don't know whether I screwed something up or not--I decided to roll a Warlock, but after the quest where you get your powers back, I was a Dawnblade. Now, I get that Dawnblade is a subclass of Warlock, but I don't get why I was shunned it into that subclass without any input on my part. Does it evaluate your play style or something, and put you in a subclass based on that? And why are you already in a subclass the moment the prologue ends? Does that mean I'll never get that supermove I have in the prologue back again?

Even the Tess engrams, they work like the treasures from D1.

That wasn't the plan originally though, it happened because Bungie couldn't have possibly made the DLC#3 and DLC#4 in the given timeframe with the state of their development tools. So Rise of Iron happened instead, and Destiny 2 got pushed back a year. No way of knowing if they will go with a similar scheduled now, or Destiny 2 is them getting back on track with the originally intended release cycle.

Nitpicky thing: During the mission "Six" on Nessus when you pick up the Cannon, it goes third person and your character model obscures the crosshair.

Not sure about returning PS4 player here, put around 3000 hours into Destiny 1.

I felt very little hype about Destiny 2 after getting burnt out on D1.

I want the game to be good but I don't really think I care too much about it.

So i'm asking you guys, is it worth it getting Destiny 2 right now? Or is there really no major changes to the game, and getting it later on sale or in a bundle would be fine for a more casual and laid-back experience?

I enjoyed doing raids and trials with friends, /dg/, and even LFG. I probably just played the game too much and now I just don't want to do it anymore.
