Best I can do with fryevia on him is a turn 3 kill solo since she can't damage him on turn one. Down to 18% health in one turn not bad though.

my Water firepower is limited to Tidus BSB and Lulu's BSB command 2
My water abilities are very underleveled too, Cahin Waterga, Blue Deep and Sapphire Shot are R1, Engulfing Strike is R2, Waterga Strike, Waterja and Hydroburst are R4, and finally Leviathan and Water Veil are R5
and on top of that my X characters are limited to Tidus, Wakka and Lulu with their respective BSBs

The gold/rainbow rates are fine on their own, 20% for gold and 1% for rainbow really isn't bad at all, but the fact that getting an on-banner unit doesn't even come close to matching these percentages is obnoxious. You actually have less than half of those percentages of a chance to pull an on-banner unit in total (and it actually gets worse with g4 tickets, iirc their gold rate is still fucky) which is really what fucking blows. If I pull on a specific banner I want to get shit on that banner; having a low rate of getting the big prize on that banner isn't an issue, it's the fact that even getting the consolation prize isn't likely.

That's true, but it seems like she's even built around that because her later hits do more damage than the first ones (it's probably just a coincidence because alim isn't that clever, but still).
She can also doublecast her imperil/enelement and her attacking move in the same turn, something that other characters that rely on an imperil outside her chaining move can't. Sure she can only attack once when she does this, but considering her chain breaks halfway through when attacking twice anyway and other characters like her can't attack at all when using an imperil that's still impressive.

By "other characters like her" I meant characters that don't have their imperils attached to their main attacking move, sorry.

And yes, your second question is correct. She always has access to her dualcast (which still only results in two hits if you're using DW so you're really only doubling your MP use if you're using the same attack), but she needs to waste a turn using her full heal/self mitigation move if she wants to triplecast next turn.
There's no real reason for her not to Dual Wield though, since her SPR kit is just outright superior to her ATK set (which is still really good too) so going for some kind of TDH build is more or less pointless.

For a new JP account, no draws done yet, is it worth doing the happy gacha 3x countdown pulls? That's at least 15 5* relics, but fifteen fucking 3x draws instead of full draws.

Other way around m8. Mages are somewhat viable now, but physical chainers (and some hybrid characters like Fryevia) are objectively superior for 95% of content. The remaining 5% is mostly because they basically force you to use mages by adding physical immunity (Bloody Moon, some of the 10 man fight phases) or stupidly high defense (the current Hein MK event, Iron Giant).
