The Fighting Lion is exactly what I wanted, and I want more of it. A single-shot break action grenade launcher for the non-power slot, offering a weaker version of a power weapon to fit into a slot with a more common ammo type.

Now I want to see other downgraded power weapons spread across the kinetic and energy slots, then some upgraded kinetic and energy weapons in the power slot. HMGs anyone? Those have technically always been a beefy version of an auto rifle.

Yes. It's a lot like Diablo. You have a short campaign / quests that you're meant to repeat forever. Patrol mode is pretty similar to adventure/bounty mode where you're going to a lot of the same levels but with different objectives or enemies. The strikes and raids go more into traditional MMO type deals where it's a big set piece mission with mini bosses and an end boss.
