"anything you wanna do" is a bit of a meme, much to my disappointment. You can't make hybrids, bows are strictly a back-bar weapon, magic characters should only ever use staves, heavy armor is useless on anyone who isn't a tank, there is no point in wearing medium armor as a magic character or light armor as a stamina one, and so on.

But a sorc can be a stamina build wielding big weapons, and the lightning form does have a stamina morph. It'll be more of a wind-form rather than lightning, and all the damage will be turned into physical rather than shock. There's also a stam morph of bound armor. Supposedly stamsorcs are fun and effective.

How do you fight Wardens especially as Nightblades? One Warden I fought is able to slap 5 different dots on me and I just wither out before I can kill him especially with the bug jihad bombs

You are probably going too fast. That boss is not a DPS race, everything happens at stages in the bosses health, if you go too fast you'll get swarmed by adds while the boss is breaking platforms and you'll die.

First priority as always are the trolls trying to break the platforms. If a platform fall, it's a wipe. Save your ultimate for the end, don't blow your load too early. DPS the boss a bit and try to get a feel for dodging her attacks, always shield back up, she hits hard but her big attacks are slow and fairly easy to dodge by side stepping or moving through her. At 85% two adds will spawn, a melee and an archer, take them out, otherwise you'll get overwhelmed. At 75%/74% she'll go to whatever platform you are on, jump up and break it. You need to be off the platform and several meters away before it breaks, otherwise it is a one hit kill. Run to another platform, buff back up. A neriad miniboss will spawn from the broken platform and two more adds, take them out while dodging the boss's attacks and shielding. Repeat, around 60% two more adds will spawn, take them out. Around 45% she'll break the second platform, again she'll stop fighting like normal before she runs to the middle, so if you aren't off the platform by the time she starts her jump you likely won't make it in time. Get to the last platform and buff up, grab a sigil if you need to. As soon as she gets to you, drop your ult, I prefer elemental fury, this should nuke down the adds and neriad miniboss. you need to kill her quickly, at a certain point she'll enrage and break the last platform if you take too long. With an ult up and your attacks it shouldn't take more than 10 - 15 seconds.

Yeah, for most VMA bosses you can just nullify them with massive DPS, but not that one. And the adds will only spawn once at each health percentage, except for the icebreaker troll who spawns on his own timer as usual (I timed it months ago, 15 seconds or so between spawns?).

With the horns of the reach dlc lots of weapon and armor traits got adjusted, and many 2-4 set piece bonuses on gear as well. Julianos 5 piece and another set (depends on your class) is currently best in slot for many magicka builds apart from specific raid buffing set ups.

Serious about getting into this game now. Last time I quit at like level 20. Templar or Dragon Knight for tanking/melee dps?

Also can Templar tank anything relevant now?

It might change something simple down the line, like a line of dialogue, but most of the time it never surfaces again. One of the few exceptions are choices made in the main quest line in Coldharbour, as it affects which characters and armies you will take to assault Molag Bal. The other big choice is the mages guild quest line. You can choose to give Sheogorath the life of one of the mages, and he'll give you two skill points. Refuse and she lives. If you refuse, you never get another chance at those skill points, but you condemn her to a life of servitude in madness in his realm.

Oh yeah, thats it. Once you hit level 50 gear will get weaker much quicker than before, like every 10 CP. Also the other guy is still below level 50 so he is getting the benefit of level scaling giving him much larger resource pools. Really, I would recommend not grinding skyreach, there are better places for you guys. Public dungeons and even locations out in the open world will give you just as much xp if not more, and allow you to better manage pull sizes. In skyreach you have to take what comes at you, in public dungeons and overworld locations such as the ogres or lurchers in bangkorai, or even the staff in craglorn you can pull more or less enemies as you want to get a comfortable number.

How do you stop this.
On my magsorc I've resigned myself to a long buff, two ground aoes, daedric prey, and two slots reserved for my pets. Rotation is comfy and uncluttered: surge buff, drop aoes, prey, heavy attack, ward as needed, repeat. Then I switch to a stamdk and need my ground aoes, a dot from my bow, my molten armaments, rearming trap, rally, flames of oblivion, brawler, maybe venomous claw and/or noxious breath, heavy attacks to proc sunderflame. Recently I even went with a templar tank who drops channeling focus, ritual of retribution, radiant aura, blazing shield, taunts and power of the lights everything, heroic slash, some light or heavy attacks in between to get crusher and weakening enchants to fire off, and while I'm trying to keep track of all my shit I'm also trying to herd all these enemies who feel like they'd rather attack the healer or stealth-archer dps plinking away at them from the other side of the map.

Do you organize your bars a certain way to keep track of your rotations or limit yourselves to only a handful of buffs? I'm trying to find out how to feel the most comfortable with these characters, but it's taking a while.

Arrange your skills to your liking and practice in dungeons. At some point it becomes muscle memory. I don't use buff/aoe trackers personally but it can help you if you actually can't keep track of them. (there is an addon called Srendarrs buff tracker get that)

I usually have hard time switching between characters if I stick to one long enough and have to adjust my skills in a similar manner.

What should I run as my ultimate on my bow backbar as a stamplar DPS? Just Flawless Dawnbreaker on both? Can you quick switch armor sets? The devs are jewing so hard that only separate cosmetics can be worn cosmetically and cool sets like the shroud of the lich collect dust. in my honest opinion, it's the best Elder Scrolls game there is. it's my single favorite game.

it's weird, man. a level 1 and a level 50 Champion Level 660 can do a dungeon together and basically both be contributing on par with each other (not exactly true, but this is the idea). players are scaled to their content for the entire game. you'll have a shitton more skill points at 50 and Champion Points keep racking up after that, which you can spend on passive bonuses, but there's not nearly as much difference between a level 30 and a level 50 with 90 CPs (yes, we call them this) as you'd expect if coming from another MMO. the gear system is the same situation. you keep replacing your gear as you level because its bonuses will degrade from /being/ outleveled (though you can stick pieces in your bank and your alts can use them like new at the proper level). now, really high, really hard content, you're gonna want to be 50, with a bunch of Champ Points.

well, it's not very Elder Scrolls, honestly. there's no spellcrafting, though i believe it's still on the backburner (but there's no way it can turn out as powerful as it was in other games in the series, that would be gamebreakingly unbalanced), and it also doesn't feel anything like Skyrim's version. that said -- and this is my opinion, here -- it can still make you feel pretty powerful

next, probably? i mean, as MMOs go, i'd imagine it's a bit better than average? also, there are some neat things you can get while doing very little "gaming." for instance, crafted gear can be made in many different styles, but none of those are tied to the level of the gear. so you can look super badass at level 1. you wouldn't have any/many dyes, as you get those from achievements, though.

also, costumes. but these are gonna cost real money if you're not, er, playing. although you could also pick up some disguises by going to a place, maybe taking a quest, killing a thing for its disguise item, then just leaving. there are lots of those and some look pretty cool. for free.

aside from all that, think about it. it's a pretty MMO with decent character customization and even allows for furries and scaleys. yeah. you can find SOMEONE here.

Set bonuses will go a long way in improving your dps, as will the extra numbers from champ points. After that, its just about nailing your rotation and getting used to weaving. One step at a time ese.
