I though the scene was very sweet and romantic. First Geralt compliments her during their conversation in the garden, he hugs her, smiles at her, gets jealous over the mage and the build up is amazing. Then she gets encouraged and starts teasing him. Chasing her through the garden is very cute and the kiss scene is just perfection, with the fireworks and all. Even after the kiss, the way the look at each other while Albert is mumbling about his dumb alchemy experiments is very meaningful and heart warming. That quest is my favorite one in the whole game.

I'm on the fence. To me the game hasn't been as good as it was at the end of closed beta despite it still having issues then, but this current overhaul-patch might be better than the previous one we had. It still needs some work and they definitely didn't update all the cards to the new patch as well as they should have, but I dunno.

Once again the biggest issue is playing a solitaire deck is better and more reliable than playing an aggressor/reactive deck. Jerking yourself off with the largest point swings possible per-card is basically always better (Since you win in topdeck wars, your cards aren't reliant on what your opponent does or doesn't play, etc) than playing cards that hurt your opponent. The problem is they need to find a good balance between opponent hurting cards and solitaire masturbation, because they tend to have roughly the same point values, it's just that some only interact with your side and some remove points. Reactive cards need some additional edge but most likely not just higher point totals or everyone will shift to reactive cards, but on completely even footing, a 10 point regular card and a 5 point deal 5 damage card, the 10 point regular card is stronger on the whole. If you go first, you get all 10 points while the damager doesn't. Armor reduces the value of the damager. If your opponent only has cards worth 4 or less points, the damager has reduced value, etc. It's always at a slight disadvantage.

Goddamn Gwent. I enjoy it so I keep hoping they'll unfuck it but since I've played through 3 major overhauls of basic mechanics and shit now I'm convinced they have no goddamn idea what they're doing.

Hag's definitely not bad but isn't what she used to be. Something like BTM may be more reliable due to having harpy eggs. Not really a finisher but it would be unexpected and can be a 20 point swing max for a single card. Pepe might be decent too, another consume tick and helps you control your hand. Considered Olgierd but his points may be too low in the grim situation Gwent finds itself in, probably will dick around with the deck more.

Most herbs can be found from herbalists, most vendors have most ingredients you should need to craft their sort of things. i.e. armorer > armour, blacksmith > swords, herbalists > herbs, etc. You might need to hunt around between them though.

That said depending on the difficulty you're playing the oils aren't really that necessary, you should do fine with just sword slashing if that's how you like playing it. The potions and oils can add to the fun though. Once your further into the game I'd recommend spending some time on them as it's pretty cool.

Most of the other witcher schools have fallen too. The only witchers in the books and games we meet (outside of wolf school) are from cat school. But their mutation process was fucked up at some point so they are now overly cruel, agressive and unstable. Many of them have become bounty hunters and killers for hire. There's also a sidequest in TW3 where you can learn that the cat school got destroyed recently aswell.
