You know why? Because bubbler fucked everyone over equally. Armor absolutely demolishes both high-damage slow-fire rate weapons and low-damage shooters while most other weapons can borderline ignore it.

Sure ink armor protects the whole team, but its nowhere near as bad as getting an advantage on someone just for them to pop their super and push your shit in. Here, you'll still kill them before it can activate and you can choose whether to try and take them on or not, instead of being forced to flee.

Every fucking game it feels like I'm just walking into 3 squids every time while my team is fucking off somewhere irrelevant. I even try to group up, but my team just can't kill them. Fuck.

It is OP because it is brainless to use. All the other specials require good positioning and timing to use, but Ink Armor is just a simple tap and survive and then you have got 100% of its effectiveness in place.

Its biggest problem though is that lag ruins its purpose. It is supposed to deflect one single hit, and 2 hits of some weaker guns, but due to the lag it can be 3 or 4 shots before you can actually start damaging them and kill them. Just like how you can shoot someone and they'll splat a few seconds later, it does the same thing with Ink Armor.

Depends on, the brella can be a shitty weapon.
You're a very good turfer with it, but a shitty splatter. It's harder to go 1 vs 1 since the shots need to accurate and you can not as easily splat others as a blaster. Tactic is the key, but the turfing ability makes me around 1100 to 1300 so far.

I agree though that charges definitely get the raw end of the stick when it comes to ink armor. But a charger would never have to deal with getting the upperhand on a player only for them to immediately pop bubbler or kraken and kill you instantly either.
It's easy enough to avoid ink armor as you can see them coming, but with bubblers or krakens, it added far too much luck/chance to every close range encounter regardless of how well you played.

The biggest problem with chargers is you have to carry extra hard. Even if you're a good player, you're probably not good enough to make up for the loss of ink turfed in something like turf wars or splat zones.

I'm talking more about passive capabilities. You can't make the entire team krakens, so a roller will never on their own go for a weapon that has it charged- they'll either go for someone else or try to bait them into using and subsequentally wasting their special. Armor is just spammed, and most rollers don't have any way around armor other than flick twice (which never works), so for entire 10 seconds every roller and blaster is 100% useless.

It can be a good splatting weapon, but you need to fight at your max range and use Splat 1 Blaster tech of jumping around and moving under ink during fights if the first two shots don't kill. I've 1v2'd pretty easily before by making them come to me and keeping mobile. It's also a great weapon due to it's wide shots so that even if you don't get a kill right away the enemy is usually stuck if they aren't using Ink Resistance. Obviously you shouldn't fight anyone who out ranges you like that it's easier just to retreat or use terrain. But yeah, it's a REALLY good inking weapon. 1100-1400 is easy as long as you keep Sprinklers and Storms coming while layering the map with ink, which it's very good at. 4-6 Storms is also pretty easy to get in a game

Rollers are pretty terrible in general now though. And not all blasters. Rapid blaster is still stupidly good in just about every scenario. I can see ink armor being really annoying for chargers, but for most weapons, it's just a matter of playing smarter. They're not invincible. The only ones with ink armor I despise are trisloshers since they're damn near impossible to approach even without it. That's just the extra turd on the shit sundae.

To add to this, a charger with ink armor is actually really good as it allows them that extra bit of security to line up their shots, so it's a bit of a give and take there. The way I see it, ink armor is a double edged sword. Sure the enemy team might get it a lot, but so will yours.

Rapid is one of those guns that can just ignore the armor- it's balanced specifically around needing three hits to kill, so just score a direct in the middle and you're even. Blaster, Luna and Crash, though? If you go against armor you're thoroughly fucked regardless of what you do, and that's on top of being unable to ink and escape which is the tradeoff for their murder power that armor compromises.

Also, anyone feel that the motion control feel weak in Splatoon 2? First Splatoon i could turn with ease and target focus. Now it just hit the y button to center, turning become annoying as hell and my reticle never seem to be on point.

I found it easier to glance at than manually bringing the map up on the screen.
My situational awareness is way down now that I'm not able to notice change s in turf on the map as easily.
It felt good to notice someone trying to get the jump on you and get the jump on them.
