Yeah, the fact that they didn't give us a Comic Con exclusive figure or being featured at Hascon this year kinda sealed the deal. Shame, I was kinda hoping they would pull the same stunt as the year before with Dianyan figure and the Gemnyan medals, but with the Fruitnyans.

Like they'll get a release at ALL outside of Spain or Europe. The glow-in-the-dark Whisper medal moments wasn't released in America, just Spain. The Electronic Paws Of Fury Jibanyan that we saw at 2 different Toy Fairs was never released in America, just Europe.

I learned the Spain thing from rude little twats on Reddit, and the Jibanyan thing from seeing it on eBay for $60+ a long time ago. We've seen pictures of it twice and the only electronic figures that ever came out were DJ Komajiro and Whisper.

Season 3 of the anime is probably still being ruined by ex-4Kids employees in "localizing" and not even being voiced yet, the people behind the games are likely finishing up on PS or it's being printed right now, Hasbro's just said "fuck it" to the toy line in America, and the manga can't go any further right now unless they take USApyon out of it. USApyon is one of the huge obstacles for progress right now because they're terrified that us knowing who he is might fuck something up.

All this, and none, NOT FUCKING ONE of those teams is in contact with each other at any point during the series's movement from Japanese to English.

I was looking back on older parts of the series to see when exactly the dub fucked it all up, and I was surprised to see it was episode one of the anime.

"Yo-kai? Never heard of it!"

That set everything downhill. In Japanese, people know what a Youkai is. They might not know every single story or type, but they know what a Youkai is.

The dub instantly makes it out to be a nonsense word, making it so when other human characters use it like in the first movie's dub when Eddie says something about Yo-kai, it sounds really, really strange.

They turned it into Pokemon without even trying.

Abdallah did an interview with Level-5 a couple of months ago and I believe he said that L5 said that was the reason it had to be changed.
