How does unranked compare to HL? I feel like people 30% of the time are just drafting without any consideration for the comp and counters. In unranked I can kind of say whatever but if I would lose ranking points because people are too stupid for knowing the basic hero interactions I would probably just rage and get banned.

In ranked you should play the things you're best at, your team needs and you win the most on. Not try to force people into goofy comps and heroes that they might not even be good on (eg firstpick tassadar forces stupid shit).

Greymane is a great pick if you have a support who can enable him. If you have an Uther the enemy team needs Anub to disable one or both of them every time or else they lose.

Li-ming is pretty solid, not amazing but at the moment no mages are doing amazingly, also by stun are you comparing her to Kael'thas because those two get picked for very different reasons.

Valla's strafe is rarely good to take.

Nazeebo's spider build has been suffering in part because he really needs to get in there to land it.

No one picks Lunara for AA damage, they pick her for loads of spell damage. Unless they're an idiot, in which case you're completely correct.

Can you read nigger? Her AA damage is low, the damage over time her poison spread causes is fucking absurd. Especially because it scales at better than the standard 4% (iirc it's 4.5%) and her level 13 ramps up poison damage by 50% whenever something is slowed.

Q someone, AA and then hit your w and at level 13 you'll have caused 144+ 92*3 + 61*3 (total 603) over 6 seconds to 4 heroes. Plus whatever additional damage you're doing to your focus target (144 per aa), and if your team has shit like arthas your poison damage ramps hard. That's without even needing to land your Q. You just walk into a fight, AA once and hit W (then Q and AA again).

And you can focus shitters with leaping strike to add another 433/866 damage, which can also put you behind their team and force the enemy team to retreat into you, making them take a shitload *more* damage.

But hey, "lunara is bad" despite the fact that quite a few top GM's main her.

SOME heroes you like, sure. You can get a few thousand gold a week just from doing dailies and the occasional stimpack gold boost. Don't buy heroes without trying them, and try not to buy the cheaper heroes too early because you will probably unbox a few while grinding everyone to lv 5. Feel free to buy the 2k heroes though. They are dirt cheap and usable in many situations.

What little shimmer you see before the Q revealed her was basically all I saw. You can't spot them 100% of the time (sometimes because of Unrevealable) but you always have to put in effort to keep an eye out. Once they realise they can't come near without getting spotted, they'll just hang back like wusses and only try to killsteal making objectives and fights an effective 4v5 as long you keep your guard up and never get out of position.

Even better if they're idiots trying to cheese pubs with multiple stealth parties.

Stealth players hate it when the enemy travels in groups so do just that so that your team breaking them out of invis is met with swift follow-up kills, and they hate losing their stealth burst combo/advantage. Take it away from them and they're useless. This is why most stealth heroes are pure pubstompers only and rarely good in comp. Zeratul's a notable exception and still pretty situational.

I'm not the best player around but I can spot the shimmers. So you should be able to too.

I think your actual frustration is more that stealth players change the game a lot and how you play changes drastically precisely because you have to pay attention for shimmers 24/7 and have to play very differently than if there were no stealth heroes on the map. Sadly, can't change that without going back in time and removing the stealth hero. But with a properly drafted team, an enemy stealth hero should basically be a free advantage if you can pay attention IMO, even if it's a huge unfun pain in the ass to do.

Why does this game have SO many healers. Fought a team with Chen, Brightwing and Auriel and it was maximum cancer.

I actually don't have problems with those three. The light textures really make it easy for me, and grass lines covering most of the terror map makes it easy to spot shimmers too even at night. The edges of fog/vision at night bother me more than shimmers, really.

He's the primary argument against people who say D.Va's two health bars is a problem.
Starting from the early game, Dehaka has two health bars, and as you saw if he has Adaptation he can get 3, and with Essence Claws it becomes 4 or 5 depending on how well you can weave AAs in.
That and he can become a race car if he's anywhere near a bush.

The one thing that never changes since the start is Illidan pickers thinking he's a tank bruiser and diving into forts.
Fucking hell, I think it's the one behavior that I've seen replicated on a regular basis since I started to play.
