Can having multiple followers affect fps more than just being near multiple npcs? I was wandering around with a few followers, and, whenever a play session went on a while, my fps would start to tank whenever I was near my followers. Running far enough away from them would make it go back to normal. I dismissed all of them, and I haven't had fps issues since.

Each standalone followers uses its own set of textures. Having 10 vanilla npcs around that use 4K skin textures doesn't mean the game is loading those textures 10 times and eating up all your VRAM, but with standalone followers that's what happens.

If you want a bunch of followers around a lot you could use Ordenador and compress/shrink their textures.

If you leave the normal maps uncompressed you won't have the blocky look. Compressed and shrunk normal maps look bad.

I don't have any other game with the amount of mods and potential that Skyrim does. There's NV, and I keep running back and forth between them, but I think Skyrim is my main one. I feel like I want to play it, it always sounds good in my head but it never turns out that way. Sorry friend, very few people here use SE due to the lack of SKSE and low amount of mods. I haven't used it, but looking at what's available I'd recommend the standard Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch, Static Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIM, and Realistic Water 2 if you like how it looks. VIGILANT is typically considered one of the best quest mods, and it looks like there's a version for SE as well. ENBs usually come down to personal preference, but Rudy ENB SE for Vivid Weathers looks pretty neat to me. It looks like it requires Vivid Weathers though, so see if that suits your tastes as well. Well the last time I used it I tried to make a Nord vampire. There's no vampire variation for the Nord RSchildren race, so I had to cluelessly fuck about in the Creation Kit until I figured out how to make one. Otherwise it would just default me to the vanilla nord race. Even then it didn't transition automatically, I had to manually change it in showracemenu and hope everything carried over. Imperious racial abilities don't work with them either. Who knows what other problems I would've run into had I stayed with that character longer. And again, there's the issue of clothes.

You'd use a custom race, like the ones from... Custom Races. Along with various Race Compatibility mods, they basically act like their race, though I don't know how it works with Imperious.

Depending on what you want, CNHF or UNP Petite are good bases to make a gent body, but it is a lot of trial and error. I don't know of any bodies up for download though, and the one I made is one I actively made to be slightly more feminine than it could've been so it wouldn't be to everyone's taste.

Well I certainly do. But no, /tesg/ as a whole seems to have boycotted it almost. They have a love-hate relationship with Todd Howard, mostly hate. They see all the extra effects and textures that SE has as something that was already being done and even surpassed in the original through modding. They basically see SE as nothing but a detriment to the modding community because it splits it in half, there's no way every mod from the original will make it to SE, and mods will be made for SE that won't get ported back to the original. That combined with the lack of important utilities like SKSE has given even the more neutral people here a reason not to switch over. I have to admit, the stability does sounds nice though. If my computer was better and mods for the original miraculously worked for SE, I'd switch.

Jesus Christ this guy. But no, I understand. I certainly feel tempted to buy SE sometimes, things really are starting to show their age. I get sick of crashes and and slowdowns and data loss all the time, it feels like the thing's gonna fall apart at any moment. It feels frustrating and outdated and irritating. Download and run bodyslide. When you open it, select nevernude and make it so that only the underwear is showing, remove the bra, and activate nipples.

Use sliders to alter the body as you desire. Use Preview to see how it looks. When you are done, generate the body, and drag and drop into the appropriate custom race mesh folder. It ought to work.

I still play the game. I just started a new character that I'm building into a kind of friendly eldritch tentacle battle mage. Lots of rune spells, mind control, summoned Seekers, and of course I'm going to be mugging Miraak for his gear later. It's kind of interesting trying to get into character for that, because while I'm picturing him as being very helpful and cheerful, he's also slightly deranged. It opens me up to quests I usually wouldn't take on a more traditional good aligned playthrough. He has a bit of Addams vibe, I think.

Oddly enough, the game seems to be willing to meet me halfway with this, because I keep getting saved by projectile-vomiting Peryite refugees. It's happened twice so far.

Of course, I'm playing on 360, so elaborate character roleplays are the only thing keeping me going.

Actually, wouldn't Bretons be the most likely to have knights? If we're looking at the general stereotypes, then Imperials would be military soldiers, Nords and Orcs fall under barbarian warriors, Redguards are kind of... what, exotic swordsmen? Bosmer and Khajiit are sneaky rogues, and who the hell knows what the Argonians are doing.

Bretons though, their big things are nobles, courts, and questing to increase your standing in society. I'd imagine Knighthood is something to be romanticized and pursued in that kind of culture.

This is what I don't get about people claiming "elven superiority" while playing "elves" in Skyrim. Usually their characters look like this. Note that according to this mod's author, this is a "Wood Elf". That is correct -- a Bosmer.

Notice of course that it in every way LOOKS human. If someone did not claim it was an elf, you would of course it would assume it's human.

Why give anyone choosing to play a human character guff if your preference for aesthetics already dictates you're basically playing a human with pointy ears? So odd it's being brung up now, but yeah. The entire storyline was spoilered to me, and by the time I got Skyrim on the PC I just went straight into modding.

If the 360 version wasn't a buggy mess that broke so much, I probably would have.
