The Absolute World is basically a state where the Backyard merges with reality. It would effectively make anything possible with the normal small scale "life hack" magic, because the world and the "source code" are now the same thing. Putting the world into this state, however, kills anything that can't survive in the Backyard. Which is 99.9% of all life forms. The absolute world didn't happen, so no character has access to it. Although Bedman was only okay with killing because he could bring back anyone to life if he remembered them. It was his justification to pretty much sacrifice the entire world and everyone in it to save his sister from a lifetime of complete isolation in her own dreams. Which is why he morally objected to murdering Ramlethal in Xrd Sign, when he realized that she wasn't emotionless, that and she reminded him of his sister.

This is also why he emotionally broke under the weight of everything he did when Ariels told him that she was using him from the beginning.

Yeah... The problem with the GG discord is that the "new player lobby" isn't actually a new player lobby. Some of the people playing in that lobby have been playing the game for years, it's probably pretty detrimental for actual new players who try to play some of the "new" players from that discord and get steam rolled.

Nope, the Absolute World was his endgame goal. How Bedman actually fights is by attacking from his dream world by bringing his opponents into his dreamworld unknowingly. He states that the Backyard and dreams are partially connected, and magic in GG is done by harnessing "informational leaks" from the backyard to quickly rewrite things like the laws of physics, for example, on a short scale.

All Bedman really does is use this to attack reality from the dreamworld by making the attack in each merge. But nothing more than that. It's why Slayer had difficulty beating him in Sign despite being much more powerful than him along with everyone else. Slayer being extradimensional himself, couldn't grasp how the magic was actually in two states at once. While Gabriel had no issue because his attacks weren't detected as magic by Bedman (who is has to detect everything without actual sight, because he's asleep). Or how Venom got the drop on him by using a lock on magic technique that didn't register as an attack, while distracting him with Robo Ky, who is essentially invisible to him.

Basically Bedman's extreme power has hard limits that are easily exploitable by an opponent that is aware of how he attacks.

Yeah it seems like there's the circle jerk in there and then the circle jerk in the steam-netplay part but they never cross. I've played some really bad people in steam-netplay and some actually what I would consider seasoned/regular people in the new-player lobby (granted whenever I join half of them aren't anyway near me so you're stuck playing one or two people or not getting any games). I never really liked the idea of this especially given netplay unless it was a regional tournament and even that's questionable with a lot of people.

He meant that he already had his own idea of how to do what he an Ariels were doing. Ariels was pretty much the first person he ever had human interaction with. Even though he was strong enough to explore the world through his own dream world, he couldn't interact with anyone in reality unless he entered their dreams, and they were unable to remember him when they woke up.

Considering that his whole life from very early childhood to the events of Sign were exploring the world as a ghost and watching his sister trapped, isolated, alone, and scared in her dreams. How would you suggest we go about that? Do we disallow people above a certain frame delay amount? The connection indicator is kind of buggy. I've fought some people with a connection jumping between 0 and 2 bars that had maybe four frames of delay max, and fought people on 3 bars with a delay that jumped to like 8-10 at times. Besides that, I think we'd be mostly good for the EC regulars. I haven't really fought anyone in those lobbies with a really terrible like 5 frame+ delay.

I've fought several. I know the connection bars aren't the best judgement but they're a good start. Maybe I'm not meant for online tournaments unless it's like agreed upon or verifiable but there's no good way to do that. There's also people who get bad delay when particles happen that completely ruin combos or confirms. Some of the 4f definitely feel worse than others and some are tolerable. Some Ravens I can react against and some are impossible to react against. It's a really hard problem to solve. If someone like me has issues I'd probably be more likely to not partake.

Maybe. Tournaments are a lot of time no playing and I don't think we really have enough people for that to be important. In any online tournament expect a lot of no shows, and if we're only playing ourselves then I don't really see the point. Maybe when we're bigger.

Yep it's me, I went to bed before I saw your post last night.
Zappa's whole thing is that he's pretty much a nice guy from Australia that wants to find a wife and settle down. Unfortunately for him, some people are very in tuned with certain magical stimuli brought in from "information" leaking in from the Backyard, and he's one of them. Think of it kind of like an allergy to something common, like pollen. Except for Zappa, being in an area with his "allergy" causes strange phenomena to latch onto him, as ghosts are really just information of a long dead person.

S-Ko is a notably vengeful spirit. Much more than normal. Apparently she's the ghost of a young woman who killed herself when her lover was blatantly cheating on her and left her for another woman. Unfortunately for Zappa, who's looking for love himself, he bears an uncanny resemblance to the man who broke S-Ko's heart. Zappa's clearly DIO inspired outfit has been explained as him wearing whatever good luck charms he could find, in the hopes that it would drive away spirits. In fact, all the other ghosts that posses him are actually protecting him from S-Ko. All the flailing around and levitating like it's a scene from The Exorcist is really an internal battle between the ghosts in his body, whichever one surfaces is making sure he's not being attacked from the outside. He's pretty much been waking up in unfamiliar places with wounds he doesn't remember getting, and was pretty much living in mortal fear because he couldn't fully understand what was happening to him. Which is why he was looking for Faust in the older games, in the hopes that he could cure his "condition". Which Faust couldn't figure out because it wasn't a medical condition. Zappa became a scientist himself to discover a cure, and that's how he learned that the occult phenomena was connected with the backyard. If he stays away from information flares, he can't be possessed. He's not cured yet.

Also there used to be an old theory that S-Ko is the ghost of Megumi, Axl's girlfriend. Who became a vengeful spirit when he never returned.

This was never confirmed to begin with, although S-Ko attacked Axl on sight, this was because Axl had the "air of a womanizer" in general. Which is a sure fire way to cause S-Ko to flip her shit. At this point it, it's likely to call that theory debunked.

I think she'd be cool as an air to ground character that can attack well at medium range, but there's just so much characters that should come back/make their debut first that I don't think it would be a good idea to give a slot to a character that is canonically dead right now. Out of anyone that hasn't even appeared as an NPC yet, ABA and Testament are at the top of my wishlist. If for no other reason than I'd love to see their animations in the newer games. That and ABA was the longest sub I ever kept in AC+.

His IK can be used after a rrc grab or 5d, granted the conditions are met with any other IK combo. The sheep is used as a unblockade in a corner set up. You shouldn't really use the sheep that often in neutral or in general at all. IK combos are also another thing you shouldn't be worrying about too. I'll post some vids anyway for you.

You use it to react to your opponent's actions. Such as them IADing over your Task A, you rc and 6p to anti-air them or go for a air-grab. You also use it to yrc 1/2/3h if you whiff it. Bedman's deja vu can be yrc it will still create the projectile adding onto your pressure. RC in general slows down time so you can use it as a time to realize what is going in the match to. His clock overdrive wallsplat opponents in the corner allowing for a IK setup or an extension for combos. Don't forgot about dead angling and blitz shield, they can get you out of the corner or get you out of a blockstring.

I know that feel. I've been practicing FD dash break throws and I can pull them off 100% of the time in practice but then in an actual match I go spaghetti mode and either fuck up or I can never find an opening to actually use it.

Are Japanese ghost worse than regular spirits? The Japanese have that Ki overflow syndrome which cause various effects beside making them sick and turn into gears. Would that make a vengeful spirit more dangerous because of the boosted ki?

Did anyone else think Isuka had some neat ideas? I kinda hope they bring back the background/foreground shit for special game modes. 2v2s or 4 player FFA with friends sound pretty fun. Also I remember the boost mode was pretty fun when I played it with my cousin.

I'm tempted to buy it, but I know I'm never gonna find another person, let alone 3 other people to play it with

Isuka's Boost Mode, which was pretty much a beat 'em up, did have another game that improved on it's game play style. It was a PSP exclusive called GG Judgement. It took an interesting tone change for the plot, which is a fully canon but self contained side story. It focused more on horror elements to the visual design and interestingly enough, GG's entire concept of demon summoning that was shown in After Story C, originates from Judgement. Which had me wondering if there's any connection between Daryl and Raymond (antagonist and final boss when he transforms himself into Judgement) because they look very similar.

If you know your opponent is going to blitz back, you can possibly eat their counter blitz attempt by fully charging it, causing them to crumple for a combo. The can beat this by wiff punishing or grabbing and such if they call you out on the blitz game.

It's partially yomi as the other anon explained. You can also charge it full if your opponent is dizzy in some situations so that they crumple and you can get a high damage combo to finish them off.

From what I can see on the bracket, ECPC is being represented by our resident Caveman King, a Millia player with no self restraint, I think Raven anon is in there somewhere with a different name, a fresh Bedman player with everything to prove, a Faust player who seems to get bombs more often than anything else, and a weaponized beach episode/small pirate girl WMD. same here. I wasn't sure who to play. I tried a variety of characters. A lot of these characters are not so much good for pick up and play but require hours upon hours of lab time. I think I might play Jam because she seems closest to my old Blazblue main Makoto: fast speed, intuitive playstyle straight forward rushdown, rekkas and good damage.
