Stop doing Red Salamanders at 67 and move to Black Salamanders, you can do these until 99 if you don't care about profit, if you do, stop at 73. It doesn't matter if you get PK'd because you risk nothing. From 73-80/99 do Black Chins, here it matters if you get PK'd so if you're worried about that, stop at 80 and move to private hunter area. If you can't do the diary, then do Fishing, Agility, Mining, and RC until you can afford the gear and levels to kill Zulrah and finish the Diary.

It's the hardest one by far for no overheads 1 def, but as with all of them it's cheesable.

Get a friend to block him from entering melee range, but he still does a ton of magic damage I recall. Your friend can drop you food, that's what mine did.
I think you can also merely cannon him down and hide behind the rock, that would be the easy way. I was too cheap at the time I did it.

Ranger boots are about 1/300 out of medium clues
Eclectic imp jars have a 1/25 chance of containing a med clue
Buying enough imp jars to reach expected ranger boots droprate costs a little over 28m which is fairly close to the 25.6m of the boots themselves. Assuming I get the boots ill likely make a fair profit. Not to mention that ill get the 400 med clue cosmetic in the meantime

I just finished 99 attack and strength through nmz using prayer gear and only prot from melee. I averaged 92.4k xp/hr with whip and bludegon respectively and still profited from herb boxes. I clicked only every 5 mintues to reoverload, sgs spec, and ppot and only spent 10-12 ppots per session (9 overloads, 3 hours, 85 prayer) depending on how often I SGS specced and if I happened to be tabbed in during power surge spawns. Each session netted me the max points, the equivalent of 1.3m in herb boxes, at the cost of ~110k in ppots.

The prayer method actually netted me ~400k/hr while almost entirely afk at the cost of training at 30% under the max rates

What I did was level skills that just naturally make a profit, like agility and mining. Maxing both of those alone made 140m.

But if you're an alt and don't give a shit about a high total level or anything, Runecrafting works fine at 1 def still. You might need to eat a few wines (cost basically nothing) after each trip to the abyss, but you survive easily enough. Somewhere around 700k/hr once you unlock death runes, a shitload after double nats.

It's slow to get going and click intensive though. If you hitpoints level sucks (you need like 70-80 ideally), there's Blast Furnace for similar gold, but that's carpal tunnel tier.

I've realized that even at shitty (level 101) combat level, Vet'ion is an easy as fuck wilderness boss with the right gear. I use this current setup and have 60kc, most of which was in a few hours a few days ago since I can now do like 3-4 kills a trip with a safe amount of supplies (6 restores, 1 super comb, 1 stamina, 19 sharks, mithril ax to waka)

I'm mixed between bludgeon and elder maul. Maul is slightly better dps but then I have to sell gear and it's been volatile in price lately. Bludgeon you get 3 hits between dodges, maul 2, maul is slightly more than 50% better max hit and accuracy combined however so elder still wins out by a few tenths of a damage per second.

Why does everyone complain about Vet'ion being hard? I've seen maxed people die to him and scream about it afterwards when I'm able to quickly demolish him at 20 levels lower. Other bosses like venenatis and callisto scare me much more

fair point. There's also stuff like a safespot near the chaos dwarves that only a few people know is a heavy pker zone, so while it's little effort it's also higher risk whereas playing against him fair in the middle or south of his range is almost totally safe. Little things like that too.

Again he might be the easiest major wildy boss, probably easier to fight fair than callisto is to drag to a safespot and kill from there. After 10 or 11 kills (and realizing many guides are shit and suggest hasta or bandos gs against him when those are so much worse than maul or bludgeon, take one less invent space for greater dps because no dragon defender/dfs, etc.)
