I hate the boss because I gotta wait through the lazer section, and then when Eggman appears in his giant octopus all of the platforms near him are dragged down under the oil and if you're standing on them it kills you automatically. But not only that but he's also sorrounded by those Sonic & knuckles projectiles constantly throwing pellets at you. And since the whole stage is oil there's a good chance that once you drop your rings you won't get it back.So the best option is to hang back and spindash jump which means you can only hit him like 1 time per LONG sequence of time. Or you can hop in the oil and hope you don't get hit by all the projectiles (because if you do you lose all your rings.)

For some reason this sort of thing always happens. Developers make the OCs stand out from the canon characters, and the proportions of the OCs remind me more of Boom proportions.

Xenoverse had a similar problem to the point that the canon character shading is more refined and sticks out more compared to the OCs who look simplistic in comparison, even when wearing the exact same clothes

Which is kinda fucked up when you think about it. For the amount of autism & shitposting that goes on here, it's still less cancerous than SSMB & less fucking awful than SEGA Forums.

So if Forces is $40, what does that mean for the game? The stages are shorter than ever before so far, shorter than even non-gimmick Colors stages. The animator's budget clearly didn't go into gameplay animation. They were still adding details as far back as the Switch version reveal, where between it and Classic Sonic's full proper gameplay video, they added more level detail (unless some of that extra background is indeed outright missing in the Switch version for optimization purposes).

This is going to be another throwaway Sonic game like Lost World. despite the advertising effort, isn't it?

They're not so different if you just run through it, but you tend to find many more paths on the overhead if you go looking.

To explain better, Knuckles routes in 3 were usually caused by them blocking paths off that you'd take as Sonic. In Mania it seems to be that the main route is the same, but if you try climbing even a bit you'd find massive detours and alternative paths.
