Because if the turbo unga decks just ignore your board and go face, you will kill them before they kill you, and if they trade, they run out of steam and you will kill them before they kill you. The only things that give me trouble are Cerb+Howl or Ephemera+Howl, and occasionally frogsword if they get the nut draw. Basically anything that can burst you from 10 to 0 is a bad matchup, but all the midrangey shit people are trying to run with is pretty easy to handle. I'm also deliberately keeping Devil of Vengeance instead of Disagreeable Demon to make the Haven matchup better, since you can curve Spiderweb>Devil>Belphegor and give them absolutely nothing to banish, which more often than not will make their hand brick.

I'm climbing Masters with it right now, it could potentially get worse depending on how the meta settles but for now it's pretty solid.

To new players it might be a bad thing, since even if you can get some legos refunded, it won't be enough to afford a completely new deck. Thus they will be stuck with whatever nerfed deck they had. Obviously this is much more of an issue when it comes to those who vial everything for a single netdeck, but I do think it affects all new players alike.
Oldfags don't care, they can craft almost anything if they've been doing dailies or just logging in since DE or RoB.
Overall balance should improve, but at the cost of making the game even more grindy for newcomers. Although I don't see this stopping nips, chinks and gooks, since they don't really mind spending money for a couple prebuilts.

I trust CyGames more than I trust /svg/, and every one of their nerfs so far has made sense to me. Cygames have always been very weaselly with their stats.

They cite their first vs second ratios being balanced, but fail to mention this is from data of all matches at all ranks without taking into account how the top master/tournament decks all have 55%+ winrates going first.

They said Test of Strength was too oppressive with Aegis and needed to be nerfed, but Aegis decks have been sub-43% winrates since its release. Turns out they were looking at fucking D-rank matches.

Basically it's obvious they don't do any actual balance testing and are absolute garbage at their own game (Spawn and Baphomet, anyone?) and just rely on out-of-context stats to balance. Their nerfs to Snow White and Ouroburos is the latest in a long line of evidence.
