Those things outweigh the loss of concealment (if you are one of those retards running CE builds on german BBs) and manouverability.

I still can't fully grasp why how so many people seem to be struggling with what happens to be an improved Bismarck at t9, i think the reason might be that they are unable to adapt the previous KM BBs playstyle to the slighty more passive gameplay of t9/t10.
She must be played like a dagger, pushing the enemy weak spots with possibly some support; she makes for a good damage sponge, but you can't really expect to break through enemy lines as easily as in Bismarck golden age.

I play Bismarck as a DD killer, the FdG is a lot more sluggish and it's also longer so dodging torps is a lot harder, granted it has faster turret traverse.
And t10 matches are basically all campfest now and the thing's pretty lacking in long range fire power compared to the counterparts. It's also seem to take damage a lot more easily than the Bismarck for some reason which I can't understand why.

I went throgh 60 ships
Out of 60, only 16 are regular ships

It's because some of the variants could be acquired at lower tiers, while others could only be acquired by playing higher tiers. The Myokos that could only be acquired by playing T7+ obviously had better stats than the ones that could be acquired at T4 (Nachi IIRC). The performance between them used to be farm more significant.

It's a good example (perhaps best) of why global stats are poor indicators of actual performance. The win rate of ships that can't be acquired anymore tends to inflate over time since the players still playing them are ostensibly improving (not always however- the ARP Myokos are actually performing worse than they were on release, however).

The topmost two are blatantly OP, but they're so rare that they might just as well not exist. Alos, people who play them are very experienced, so it's not surprising that they perform above average, they'd do that even if they were carbon copies of a normal ship.

The two worst offenders, Albert and Nikolai, are actually BBs. Yes, one is unavailable and WG said they'd stop selling Albert, too.
Still, these two were straight pay2win.
Or were they? Because at t4, most players are absolutely terrible, so any halfway decent player could sealclub with almost any ship.
Now we have a ton of pre-nerf minekaze clonse. No shit, at t5 torping baBBies that sai in a straight line is still possible.
Then comes Belfast. This one is pure p2w. No argument.
The next are Kaga and Saipan and Enterprise. More p2w.

the tl;dr is that most of the DDs on that list only work at sealclub tiers.

If you look at actual short-term, i.e. relevant statws, BBs outperform pretty much everything. They deal more damage, die loess, tank more, kill more than everything else. Sure, some CVs can still delete them, but then that CV can just as easily delete any other ship.

Crappy AA (adding small and medium caliber AA means you have to carry more crew, which 'costs' space/volume, which equaly tonnage), practically no electronics (they require electrical power, which means you have to install more and better generators, which require fuel and personnel to operate.

Designs from teh 20s (and the WW1 leftovers) really suffered from this, they often required near-complete rebuilds to even power the things that were deemed normal in the 1930s, and when electronis and air defense became a thing in WW2, power and crew requirements went up even further.


Only the USN planned and designed with these things in mind.
The RN managed to get by with a 'this is gonna have to do, we're at war afterall' mindset, and some US shipyards' help.
The IJN manged to get sunk with theri 'lololol let's just add shit, wat is capsizing and overloading XD' mindset.
The KM planned for power and AA needs, failed to fully apply this planning in their designs so they fell back on shit they had archived, and then proceeded to not have the funds and building capacity to properly build and rebuild what they planned and partially designed.
The MN and RM basically stopped thinking about how to fight the next war, planned for a shitty skirmish in the Med and had no money to really get anything done. They then proceeded to sit in port and got sunk by their 'allies'.
The VMF was too busy figuring out how high-tech items such as 'radio' and 'optical range finders' worked to bother with bourgeois luxuries like radar or anti aircraft guns.

Here are the "real" Russian/Soviet BBs that are options:

Gangut: completed and saw combat, probably Tier 4
Imperatritsa Mariya: completed and saw combat, probably Tier 5
Izmail: laid down, cancelled while 65% completed, probably Tier 6
Kronshtadt: laid down, building interrupted by German invasion when 10% complete, scrapped post-war, possibly Tier 7
Stalingrad: laid down, cancelled while 19% complete, possibly Tier 8
Sovetsky Soyuz: laid down, building interrupted by German invasion when 21% complete, scrapped post-war, probably Tier 9
