It's an attempt to balance her teleports. The range on them is only 32m, with her heartbeat being 28m, this is why you see so many "omg she laid 10 traps around the hook and won't leave heartbeat!" complaints. It's pointless to lay traps and stray off too far because of how slow she is to run back in range to teleport.

Ok so why did they fuck with the windows in F13? I can kinda understand forcing you to break down doors the intended way but counselors should not be able to slowly enter windows with no downside.

I swear they fucked with shift grab too. Which for most Jasons I wouldn't mind but with Jason 7 it takes him from trash to completely unplayable. Seriously, unfuck Jason 7 already.

Other shit seems off too. Melee as a counselor feels wrong somehow. No option for random normal sized maps if you don't care for the small ones. People sit in a room for hours who haven't been Jason once while people enter and are instantly Jason.

I really fucking hope they fix the windows and ps4 matchmaking quicker than a month. I have a lot of fun with the damned thing when it isn't shitting the bed. Oh but there's supposed to be some announcement at PAX, though!

Because some Jasons couldn't hit certain open windows without going into combat stance and doing a heavy attack. Idiots couldn't figure this out, so the devs went full retard and made window destruction prompt-based while also making you pretty much invincible while going through them.

I've definitely had more trouble fighting Jason. I was solo-demasking him as Buggzy half the time and now I only get one hit in. Also they made it nearly impossible to save someone from a grab.

They've already pretty much admitted that the window change was a mistake, but there's no reason to believe they'll revert it until the next content update because lol patches cost money.

If they take forever to get patches out because they cost money they should budget their money better. I mean hell the game sold really well. They should have enough money to properly fix the thing and roll patches out asap. I know they're a small team. The way F13 is set up, at least ideally, is fine. There were visual improvements. The maps seem darker and it definitely seems higher quality. I'm playing on PC, by the way.

I don't think they've said anything on whether the grab saves are intentional. But the problem is two-fold:

1: When your weapon strikes anything the attack now ends, so if your attack hits the counselor before Jason (common even if the counselor isn't being used as a shield) then the attack won't work
2: Even if you do successfully hit Jason, he isn't guaranteed to drop the counselor. This was not the case before.

This is why ever other developer in the industry patches games incrementally, patch by patch, instead of completely overhauling everything with one massive update every few months. A clusterfuck is the inevitable result when you handle your game like this. Devs do it because it is cheaper to patch as infrequently as possible.

They obviously fixed bugs like items falling into the ground long ago, but weren't willing to push the fix until it could be bound together with the new content, that is, the new maps. If you actually think Jason was overpowered prior to the update, you just weren't any good at the game. A fast character like Chad or Vanessa could play keep away for a very long time, Jason had no way to stop the counselors from pushing multiple objectives at once and groups could beat him up. Now it's even easier to do all these things.

Interesting. On PC it seems a little better for me, darker perhaps, but the performance is even worse. We're talking FPS drops into the 30s in certain areas with a GTX 970, and that's with shadows on medium and everything else on ultra.

At least they've confirmed that hitting Jason and him not dropping a counselor afterwards is a bug.

It doesn't seem a guarantee stun anymore which is a bug probably but you can knock Jason out of stuns if you hit him while he is stunned. Not all counselors seems to stun for the same duration anymore either. Deb with a bat stuns for less than 4 seconds which makes it impossible to start the car unless you have a chad starting it.
