Sub is generally more useful than main if you're using your sub a good number of times per match.

When you use your sub, your ink recovery goes on cooldown until the ink drains for that ability. So if it costs less, less cooldown.

Example: Without any abilites, let's say you use a blaster with a burst bomb, and it has 10 shots. If you use a burst bomb, you now only have 5 shots you can fire.

If you add a ISS main, you still have only 10 main weapon shots, but if you use a burst bomb, you have 6 more shots you can fire with your main weapon instead of 5. That's where ISS benefits, more than just back-to-back subs. And it helps a lot using both your sub and main weapons before you need to refill your ink.

Splatfest Power level is decided how well you do in the first 7 matches. So you throw all those matches. do the absolute worse. The you play normally, BUT if you get into a mirror match, you throw those too to keep your power level down to have a better chance of winning the matches that matter.

The ranking system might actually kill this game for me. As time passes, S+ becomes worse and worse. It feels like mid B ranks now. They really fucked this matchmaking up by letting everyone get to S+ by putting in enough time. The quality of players has gone to absolute shit

Simple, my first playthrough was 200 hours from just fucking around and putting the main quest off until I had nothing else to do. Then when Master Mode came out and I had to make a new file for that, I just continued on as normal, this time putting off all quests unless I absolutely had to. That one was 155 hours because I knew what I was doing for the most part.

Start off by flanking around, picking off any idiots trying to break the RM shield.
After it breaks, clean up the stragglers before moving ahead.
Keep flanking to break down any resistance the RM might face.
If you've got the RM, the direct route isn't always the best, especially if you've only got 1 escort; and don't be afraid to back up a little, so your escorts can catch up to you.

Obviously this is going to be difficult if you don't know exactly what you're doing wrong, but I'll give a general overview.
RM, like TC, is all about winning fights. The game starts off with an initial fight in mid over the RM. To push further, against a competent team, you'll have to win another fight. RM is basically, "how many fights can you win in a row?" Stay together, push together, and only push when you know it's safe. Remember that if you have mid after the start of the match, and the opponents never push back into you, you can just pick it up at round's end and win by default.
