PC friends, I have a question for you: how do I get good at PC gaming?

I've been playing on console my whole life and I just tried the beta on a shitty laptop that barely kept 30fps on low settings. I overall felt clunky as hell when moving around because of the difference between wasd and a thumbstick but I really want to improve. Aiming wasn't really an issue, just the keyboard part threw me off more than I thought it would.

I'm considering in investing on a gaming rig but it all depends on how good I can get. Otherwise it might just be a waste of money.

Any advice is appreciated.

The sniper can drop for any class after the strike or a PvP match, just gotta get lucky.

The minigun, as well as the exotic handcannon and SMG, can also be wielded by any class. They don't drop after any activity in the beta though and since you have no vault you can't transfer them from character to character. But once the game is out you can have a hunter wielding the minigun and and a sniper. Or a titan doing so. Or a warlock.

The only exception are a handful class restricted weapons, but we don't know if there will be any yet, and the fact that you can't equip two exotic weapons or pieces of gear at once.

Handcannons have been very solid weapons throughout all of Destiny 1 and were able to hold their ground against many weapons. They were the victim of many nerfs. But consider yourself lucky that you never knew the ruling iron grip of the most lethal trio of hand cannons Destiny ever had. In Destiny 1 there were three exotic hand cannons: The Last Word, Thorn and Hawkmoon. If you had one of them you had great fun in the crucible. If you didn't have one you also had no fun.

With how reliable hand cannons are on PC you should pray TLW, Thorn and Hawkmoon never come back at their prime cause then those three are all you will ever see.

So I've never played this game, I assume the dude with the fire pistol is the best currently? That weapon just shits on me instantly. Also why is my shotgun(?) out of ammo? I can only assume it has to be with those purple ammo-esque things that I see on the map, but figured I would ask. Otherwise my only problem with this game/series for the brief moments I've played is that I don't like that I can be better than someone but then die because OP shit (like seriously, why does a pitsol kill you in 2/3 shots?) or some dude pulling out a fire katana and instantly exploding me. Even if the raid was unlocked on the day of PC release consoles will have the advantage of meeting the required light/power level to start it right away whereas PC users will have to play the entire story AND get up to the minimum requirement.

The only way for consoles to finish the raid without PC having no chance would be if the raid releases well after October 24th and I genuinely doubt bungie would split first release and raid unlock that far apart.

I hate people so fucking much. Died 6 times against the last boss, couldn't even finish the strike with those water brained tards. Boss would get to 10%, they'd go yolo and die, then I'd get overwhelmed by the adds and the boss running onto the platform. Not to mention that they both died at least once each on the second platform to the bosses stomp launching them off. Neither one of them were killing adds, I had to burn my shield super on the second platform each time to clear the adds and revive them, EACH TIME, and they never bothered to jump even when I explained in chat to just jump when the platform goes red. I had 258 kills and 73 assists, the next closest one of them had 81 kills and the other had 54. I had to leave, there was no way I could attempt to carry those fuckers another time. Not to mention that they took 4 attempts to get past the drill section. I ran ahead, they had to respawn, and they still kept dying, just fucking run, don't fight anything, just run.
