Soldier have the highest effective burst damage at range, but also can put use of 8 seconds of invulnerability.

Pyro is a support who can only push if ubered, any other time he will get mowed down by a sentry or heavy if sticking to a primary. Pyro is good offensively at flanking and single target burst damage. Soldier is a much more preferable uber target
