I've been stuck here a bit. I tried going slow and cautious, but either the enemies respawn or they have ultra long aggro distances because more just keep coming. After a while I tried sprinting and using brute force, but that only got me so far. Any tips?

Kill the bell maidens so they don't re summon the yharnamites. This first bit should be easier compared to what's next.

The trick is killing the bell maidens. Run down the beginning stairs after the lamp and into the room, beware the Amygdala because it'll grab you. Once in there, on the raised section, to your right, is a bell maiden. Kill her and this not only severely weakens the nearby enemies, but stops them respawning. There's a few through the level, 4 I think, only one is hidden and it's where you'll find a key for an optional area. The hidden bell maiden is before the second lamp, just before the enemies and Amygdala, look at the railings on the right - there's a space to drop down, do so carefully. There's a maiden and some trolls in there, kill her first and weaken the enemies. Much easier.

For all else, RUN.

Thanks, mates. I managed to barely squeeze myself this far. Everything still hits pretty hard and rallying health with this thing isn't easy. I'm not digging this area too much, but I guess it's just from the pain of the summoned enemies. Hopefully I can find the optional area, this game has felt pretty short and I know the late game is in the blood moon.

I usually pull out my fire paper against bosses because the Stake Driver can stack up multiple hits and the buffing animation looks slick.
Managed to kill him, but a constant rain of bodies killed me as well, resulting in a double KO. I hit him enough to knock his main body to the ground and was able to chain that until he was at low health.

I think I did pretty well for my first try. The huge AOE is what killed me. I couldn't get out of it's range so the two followup hits got me.

I am not sure what my blt/arc build is actually but I think it's pic related. 20 arc is enough for exec gloves and non scaling tools. but I guess 40/30 is fine if you want to use the brew and do more damage. I just think unzipping/snek/letter l2 through exec gloves looks really cool.

listen,i'll be straight with you, bloodletter has a very limited moveset and it's only viable if you put oos in it, if you have less than 50 blt it's not worth to korea farm them. tools into bloodletter's dashr1 is only a gimmick that will work maybe once or twice and if it does you'd probably go "oh fuck i can't believe it worked i'm gonna webm this", if you ever think something along the lines of this it means it's not a viable strategy, other things bloodletter has in its pool are long range and the phantom hits that come with it thanks to bb's servers. but that can be said about every other big weapon in the game.
tldr; don't bother with bloodletter unless you have a blt blt/str build or at least 50 in blt

It's just like any other Bloodborne weapon.

Put fucking 50 in your scaling stat, learn the range and hyper armor, kill other people.

The quickstep R1 is very fast, the L2 can crush roll away, it has great range and blood damage is a bitch to resist. Bloodletter is great and will one or two shot anything.

None of youe advice applies any more to the Bloodletter than any other weapon.

The only Letter guys I fight who seem to have a hard time hitting me with it are guys that play unlocked for whatever reason. When I use the thing I have no problem hitting people with it. It's not any worse than hitting someone with anything else. And thanks to the godly DashR1, much easier than some other weapons.
