Casualfag here, using the the harvest to actually get my characters to a higher rep for once. Any advice on increasing my chances of getting legendary purples ? I want the Gilgamesh in particular, it looks better than almost any higher level sword if you ask me.

I enjoy the game, and I enjoy playing the game, I just don't enjoy how the devs handle balance and the frequency of their updates. If the devs cleaned up their act and actually balanced their game instead of fixing half the things they need to every two or three weeks or whatever, then I'd be much more inclined to play because then the game would be perfect.

I'd give shug a new chain heavy>heavy where the second heavy is unblockable but with the same speed and damage as normal, and give him a little more stamina, as well as making it so that he longer takes increased damage with his hyper armor down. Also demons embrace does does 20 damage now so you actually have to think about whether you want to use it or a heavy off wallsplat.

Warlord I would just slow down his lights, zone and headbutt by 100ms, and make it so that blocking using fullblock only guarantees the same light the headbutt does.

Conq I would give hyper armor on his charged heavy windup and when he lets it loose, make it so that gbs bounce off him while charging, but charging drains stamina slightly.
And if he activates superior block on heavy attack startup, the heavy becomes unblockable.

Shove after heavy causes a stun and deals more stamina damage than the other shoves (Allow you to try and sneak more damage in)
Side heavy after any shove impales with high tracking at the start. (Not guaranteed, used to catch a dodge if the dodge is reactionary or a backroll)

I don't know what would make long arm work, perhaps using it to trade could add something to his kit, sort of like a shugoki armored gb.

The whole turtling thing i would leave to monstrous chip, if people have to attempt to parry heavies or take near light damage each time, people will begin responding to feints again.

I think I may have figured out why HL's GB is fucked. I think he legit uses S4 balance code in how he works, and that somehow fucked him so he doesn't get GBs on parries.

What I mean is OF has two properties proposed for the S4 game changes. Namely, his lights aren't interrupted on block, and dodging pauses stamina regeneration. The second of these is not mentioned anywhere, and seems entirely accidental as no other dashes in the game to my knowledge do this, but all dashes on the PTR did.

Before the game launched when it was called Hero they had some big dominion tournament. 1v1 has been pushed as the "e-sport" by players and we all saw how that turned out. This game should have never gone for anything e-sport related or competitive, it especially shouldn't have been called a fighting game. This game would be way better off if it was treated as the fantasy brawler it is. Just some decent regular balance patches and bug fixes. Along with the already great aesthetics and idea, a little to be desired for sure. Nothing good can come from pushing your niche little brawler into e-sports when it clearly can't hang, doubly so when it's fans that don't understand your game. Even as a fighting game fan the idea of calling this a fighter is like shitting the bed and sleeping in it. For the reasons I've already said and that calling a game a fighter is a death sentence. Fighting games don't get big like other e-sports.This game was at it's best in the beginning when it was played like it was intended to, stupidly.

This so much. The way i see it, the unblockable has 3 stages. During the first, you can cancel it with both the feint button and a dodge or softfeint it into a side heavy. However, only a complete novice who has never fought a ken before will fall for it if you cancel it this early. In the second stage, you can only cancel the unblockable with the feint button, and that is already pretty late into the attack, and can catch good players. They just need to give all the option from stage 1 to stage 2 as well and Ken will be much stronger. Although the problem of getting to the unblockable in the first place still remains

You have to understand that Kensei's heavies on guard break do so little damage because the devs thought players wouldn't be able to parry or dodge heavies while in a "stunned" state with a cluttered screen. What you're meant to do is just punch the person somewhere (not even against a wall) to get your combo finisher, either from the side or top, for massive damage. The development team and testers never accounted for even mediocre and bad players being able to consistently dodge and parry even the slowest heavies, so the idea of a player dodging or parrying a heavy while stunned is entirely foreign to them.

Kensei's design makes a LOT more sense when you realise they never intended or assumed that heavies would be parry bait. Shit, the game's whole design makes a lot more sense when you realise the devs thought people would be eating heavies at random constantly.
