Yep. There is a subtle graphics improvement betwene FO3 and NV, so seeng the CW in NV might have thrown it off a little. TTW is amazing, except I do miss the LW looking just a little younger (NV characters all look a little older, and that translates backwards in TTW) and the mods that are a bit shaky once ported like Mothership Crew.

I actually (re)discovered the atmosphere of the base FO3 and NV lighting and skyboxes when I forgot to re-enable RWL one evening. ENB/RWL/Fellout really fucking kill the games 'feel' in my opinion.

For the longest time I used the M60 mod

I even armed everyone in every settlement with one and even though I only needed to give them 1 ammo, for 'mersion reasons I crafted enough 308 bullets to give every settler a full box of ammo each. 200 bullets.

Whenever I appear at a settlement that is under attack it usually lasts around three or four seconds

When I first heard that Eyebots could find supplies for you in Automatron, I hoped you could build tons of them and have an entire network of Eyebots bringing back these supplies to you, but they just tell you where it is. I'd rather see a feature where you could build drones and have them go out and bring supplies back for you. And build tons of them.

I'd love just seeing the sky filled with flying drones patrolling the entire sky of the Commonwealth and delivering supplies around the settlements for me.

I would make it common knowledge that synths were basically slaves and shouldn't be blamed, but there would still be people who hate them (often with reason) so it would be good to give them the option of going to arcadia. Not that they would have to. But having your own place is neat.

If you check out it's nexus page a bunch of the screenshots are from their Capital Wasteland project, like outside from the Capitol Building and stuff. It's not surprising they included other assets they have as well.
There is a lot of interesting content in the works with Fo4:NV, Capital Wasteland, Cascadia, and Miami in the works. Of the lot I think NV or Miami have the least progress though.

Oh no, not at all. Glowing Sea is just an inexplicable radioactive hellhole where some kind of chinese super nuke went off.
The Cloud was an artificially constructed chemical weapon created by Big Mt. before the war and tested on Americans at the Sierra Madre. It is extremely toxic and corrosive but also sort of... preserves the things it destroys, I guess. It's really interesting stuff, I wish they would have explored it even more. Perhaps with the production facility for it being in Old World Blues or something like that.

It's not really inexplicable, we are told as far back as Fallout 1's manual that megaton+ sized nukes had stopped being used before the war in favor of small yield nukes with less explosive power, but far more radiation output.

The nuke that caused the glowing sea was one of the few megaton+ sized nukes left in the world nuclear arsenal.

Mostly new team and mostly from scratch. For a start off the files for the world space were stolen. I don't know how that even happens unless one person keeps all copies of the files while everyone else jacks off, but that's what they claimed.

Honestly I'm just looking forwards to the Frontier. It's the closest thing to a new Fallout we'll be getting for a long while. Even if there was another spinoff in production, it won't be announced til next E3, and then released months after that. And that's unlikely, because Bethesda seem to hate money and enjoy making questionable business decisions.

I mean, they are likely on the money that Creation Club will earn them a lot of money... on their next game. Because something like 80% of people allegedly never even complete console games they buy, and I can't imagine even having mods keeps them playing games well over a year old in massive numbers unless it has multiplayer. I really want to be a fly on the wall when the first six months of reports reveal that sales started off great and tens of thousands of people came back to the game and bought credits... and then promptly fucked off again because a Gauss Rifle isn't going to polish FO4 into being Skyrim. Fallout 4 has 24,000 in game, because it's on sale. Skyrim has 20,000 online, and came out six fucking years ago. If that wasn't somewhat damning, Skyrim SE has... 13,000 people in game. (Them being on sale has really boosted the numbers all around.)

Yeah, basically. FO4 hemmoraged players from the start, even among the fanbase. It wasn't the Fallout we wanted. I can still enjoy it for what it is, and the Minutemen + Survival stuff, and dressing as the Silver Shroud, but it is their weakest release since Morrowind. It sold plenty, but had no legs, to use the cinema term.

Console players have been trained to title jump every month or so since they were on the Playstation (1/2/3). A few trinkets aren't going to make them spend more than a few hours playing with them, if they even want to spend the money when they could be Paying To Win the multiplayer flavor of the month.

Bethesda really are either inept at business or genuinely do create for love of the medium, because a smart IP holder would have two or threee competant development houses pumping out a Fallout and Elder Scrolls spinoff rotating each year (2017 - TES, 2018 - Fallout, 2019 - TES) to avoid fatigue, while they worked on new projects and the big 'numbered' titles. Given these are as much exploration and sandbox games as they are story based, as long as the locations were interesting, the fanbase wouldn't get especially jaded either.

Fuck. Sorry. I just hate that we didn't get a Fallout good enough to scratch the itch, and that New Orleans wasn't a thing. And I'm on protein shakes that seem to be making me irritable.

Actually, Fallout 4 has a higher completion rate then New Vegas does.

New Vegas is the game that hemorrhaged players.

While Fallout 3 doesn't have achievements on Steam, IIRC, last time I checked, Fallout 3 also had a higher completion rate then New Vegas on consoles.

According to Steam's achievement stats, only 13.7% of people did the last shared quest between all factions, which was the NCR president assassination mission.

Obsidian is all about their deep philosophical themes, so yes. Honest Hearts isn't too bad as far as gameplay but at a few points the whole "tribal innocence" schtick is eyeroll-inducing. Obsidian's biggest problem is three fold

1. Avellone self inserts way to much, and you get shit like Dead Money and Lonesome Road as a result

2. Josh Sawyer just has no real soul for writing, everything he writes is dry, bland, boring, and done in the least creative way possible. He also tries to push how much he knows about history, but then makes really stupid shit like the Legion has no towns, no farms, and doesn't even mine for gold, because reasons!

3. When it comes to most everyone else in Obsidian, they really don't understand the difference between making a point, and telling a point. Obsidian games are notorious for having every other NPCs beat whatever "message" they are trying to get across over your head, but that is fucking terrible writing. Good games make a point by having a story you can draw some sort of idea from, but where no one breaks the 4th wall and just outright mentions it/tells it to you.

I think it was Josh who cleared it up on Twitter that they do have some form of society the supplies them partial. However everything in game points to Caesar not wanting the Legion to endure the test of time so he set it up for failure in the long run. I love it when the Old World is treated like a lost ancient civilization would be in some fantasy setting, and the Wasteland itself a new world with its own culture rather than just post-apocalyptic shadow of the old. IG turns it from a single shot to automatic, and absolutely outclasses any energy weapon made by humans, but I only got 87 rounds for it. Once you switch to fusion cells it's still a really good gun, just eats up rare fusion cells too fast.

Like others have said, 10 AGI start is the best bet. For FO1 I'd go with a build like the Natalia preset at the start, with maybe switching Sneak TAG to some other skill (I find it hard to learn when/how to use sneak optimally so far). Also a quick tip, when you barter, make sure to select the other party's caps before you trade; I assumed I'd get so many caps for what I was trading, but wound up just giving the guy all my loot instead.

One thing that surprised me about Fallout was it is actually a hexagon grid based game, which is cool as shit in my opinion. My only main complaint with it is the interface is hard to learn and you have to do a lot of "pixel hunting" to find interactions inside the game. Learning what triggers what is also a bit wierd.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again, but Fo4 would have been a fair bit better of a game if all of the following had happened.

1. The legendary enemies were all distinguishable visually as well as behaviorally from their mundane counterparts. With legendaries of different base types having different abilities. IE: Humanoids are the same sort of mean asshat that have too much fun with throwables and mines (in exchange for lesser enemies being less nade happy) and animals tend to spawn in packs and have stuns.
2. The legendary affix system needed to be much more strictly policed for quality and balance and legendary affixes need to be treated as special weapon mods that are unique visuals on the gear and have their look be unique for each item type. With the possibility that they could be transferred to other kit at a hefty cost in resources.
3. Unique items are entirely divorced from the legendary system. They have very few mods, geared only towards keeping them relevant in game progression for a cost in resources greater than normal weapon upgrades, and generally act significantly different from normal and legendary equipment. To the point where acquiring one should significantly change how your character plays and can be something that a player can build a character around should they choose. Also they're entirely unique as far as models go.

I have a very small bit of tape on my triggerguard so that my middle finger knuckle doesn't get irritated. After doing literally hours of installation and tweaking, the end result was more stable than vanilla and is the best RPG I've ever played with a fucking retarded amount of content. The guys that make and update TTW are extremely dedicated to making it the best they can, and they're huge lore nerds. All the best mods also are constantly made compatible with TTW.

The process in general is pretty easy, the hardest part is being time consuming and unintuitive. Spend a bit of time fucking around with it and you'll be good to go, though. I've been doing it quite a bit to flip things right side up, chunk clothing into wearable pieces, so on. If you learn to use blender a bit, just enough to cut away or separate shit you don't want and assign things to the right bones, you'll be making your favorite shit on your own terms in less than a week. All the better when people like dragbody rip and port all these nice assets, ripe for picking over for bits and pieces.

Don't bother. It didn't do anything Peace Walker didn't do better except for showcase the amazing FOX Engine and allow for frankenguns. For a while, though, the online was great. When they started pandering to the lowest common denominator shitters and nerfed the things that could turn the tide with teamwork but let things like Sniper's OHK cannon stay, everything went to shit. Teamwork generally fell apart unless you were playing with dedicated bros, but then it was teamwork as may be applied to anything rather than the gameplay specifically being conducive.

Earlier I was having problems with columns in GECK being off the window, to the left, and I had to pixelhunt for the border or one of the columns and drag it to the side. I solved it by running the compatibility wizard when manually setting emulation didn't work with any option. It's the first time ever that it's worked.

Also, the appearance was that there WERE NO COLUMNS. Very frustrating. The problem was first noticed when trying to edit conditions for effects to make them contextual, in this case to make The End's camouflage make your aim steady and regenerate AP and hunger as long as you were in direct sunlight during the day as well as to slowly regenerate health and limb condition sufficient to heal you from hanging by a thread to full health in 6 in-game hours, all so long as you are crouched and immobile.

Next is to make The Pain's camouflage ally you with Cazadores and The Sorrow's to eliminate footstep noise and let you regain AP by punching enemies with your bare hands.

There's probably going to be a quest that revolves around him in a future game. He's probably a random time traveling guy like that dude in the Sci-fi show Quantum Leap

Perhaps he randomly leaps around space/time and can't control it, and sometimes he shows up and leaps again by helping you kill bad guys. Or he's from an alternate dimension. He can even appear in the space ship in Mothership Zeta. My guess either way is he's simply a human that was fucked with some sort of malfunctioning technology, perhaps a Vault experiment gone wrong, or a science experiment in general gone wrong.

Did you not play it? They fucked up the perception stats of the enemies throughout Dead Money and they seemed to completely forget Hardcore was a more supported by the game for the entire mod. It has some of the worst oversights of any of the NV DLC.

I had a particularly horrific visually intense nightmare of feral ghouls invading Diamond City and basically ends with them tearing Nat to shreds after crawling through a window or something, and she was hiding under Piper's bed

When Piper and I came to investigate, Piper busts into her home and sees Nat's mangled corpse, screams, and then I wake up.

I had another nightmare about feral ghouls at some point later, but this time its like a forest and they're all coming from it, and a settlement with a ton of turrets is defending against the hordes

"F" causes an object to fall and stop at the first surface it hits. The havok button also simulates briefly physics on an object, letting it settle better. Working in a 3D space is a skill that has to be learned, but the CK has a bunch of nice tools to make it easier. You can also turn on grid and angle snap when building spaces.

It works with all of the games since Morrowind. They're all built on the same editing software, newer games just introduce more features and more, very very nice, QoL stuff. But they all generally control and behave the same.
And frankly the CK is one of the better pieces of software out there for building levels, especially with Fallout 4.

According to the terminals in Covenant a fisherman has been using that spot to fish so that'd explain the candles, but not the skeletons. The skeletons are on some kind of scrapwood foundation so that's not pre-war either.
