That said, I'm kind of running out of reasons to play Mania, beyond getting the true ending which requires I play the shit special stages. The lack of varied characters and side content hurts it. I mean, they couldn't even do an increasingly difficult Mean Bean Machine minigame where the last boss is Metal Sonic? No playable Amy? C'mon Sega.

You think Cream would be like a toddler in the Classic era? Classic Sonic's smaller, toonier design makes more sense as a younger Sonic. Like maybe a 3 year difference between Classic and Modern ages/designs

Classic Sonic uses the air dash/homing attack/boost at the end of Generations, something the Classic Sonic of Mania/Forces doesn't even fucking bother with since he came up with the Drop Dash. It starts out okay, but takes a downward spiral with the level design. The boss fights are some of the most pathetic in the series, and the parkour mechanics are, honestly, uninteresting. I think I figured out how to solve one of the complaints regarding the wisp weapons in Forces. Outside of just taking them out, how bout we have it be like Unleashed where you level the weapons up with the rings you collect, considering how abundant they are in levels. This could possibly solve the issue of the weapons being overpowered from the get go, could also be satisfying to level up your weapon to the destructive levels they appear to be in the trailer, and the rings serving a purpose again outside of letting you survive anyone else notice a lack of a live counter in the gameplay showcases? Was this always the case for past Sonic games?

Forces doesn't have lives anymore, they confirmed it. Also, I think overpowered is a bit of a dumb complaint. The enemies in Sonic have never been hard. The hardest parts of the series have always been platforming, and even then the platforming isn't that hard. So the weapons being overpowered doesn't really mean much.

Generations had a good setup of using simple platforming and enemies to build stages that rewarded both reflexive play to learn routes and memorization to get the best time. Forces just has tacked on crap, it doesn't even seem like it'll go the Heroes route of rewarding people who abuse the game quirks.

The fluffy shoulders /can/ work. It just didn't work with the spikes/weird things. The boots are fine, the chest thing works perfectly fine with the boots too. But the chest+boots do not work with the sleeves+pants. Pick one or the other.

The tribal marking was just to give a faint reptilian pattern as a reminder to myself. You don't need to do that.
The gloves though, yeah, they should be solid or a different style of gloves, just not fingerless/dyed-tips.
