I am so fucking mad. I absolutely have a boner for the T-45. It is by far my favorite, with the T-51 taking second, and the Tesla Enclave Armor taking 3rd. But what the fuck did Bethesda do?

Motherfuckers. I can understand the B through E having rust, but I specifically upgraded to F because I wanted the rust completely gone. But the only change was from A to B.

I even looked for some retexture mods, and all I found was "immersive" bright colored paints and a winterized T-51 rust remover. I just want my top of the line power armor to look top of the line. The only regular rust remover I found was for the T-60, because apparently everyone but me has their dicks out for it. Which obviously doesn't help me.

Do any of you anons have any retexture mods I could be overlooking?

Technically the Rust Devils fix isn't part of UFOP, if you're referring to them taking up 50% of the spawns. That's something you have to change on your own because the mod authors left it in since it was an intentional (bad) design decision from Bethesda and not a bug.

Anyone else has this weird texture bug where every NPC has a hazy pink aura around them?

I know this is the effect of a drug but even without taking any or removing all my armor it just keep appearing.

I'm interested in a lore-friendly NCR run of New Vegas, since I've not played the NCR a lot and I recently reinstalled. I can't find any good mods, however. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a camera mod. A lot of those have settings so you can tweak third person camera angles depening on the situation, like if you have a ranged weapon it'd be more over the shoulder, if you don't have a weapon out it's centered, in sneak mode it moves the camera up to give you a better view, etc. So sounds like you have one of those and the settings are borked.

It runs if I launch it from the root folder. If I try to launch it through the Mod Organizer, it launches but CTDs a second after the screen turns black. Everything is set to run as administrator and I turned off my antivirus during testing, so I'm quite at a loss here. I'm using windows 7 and have only ever played Fallout on this OS, but this is the first time I've followed the guide (mainly due to it not being around when I first modded the crap out of NV back then). I'll probably try again later, but I've been doing this on and off for the last three hours so seeing it just not work is exasperating. Neither are true. Looking at someone's resistances and seeing if they are a synth is an urban legend.

Synths also don't walk around with weapons out, and they don't walk around at night.

Every "trick" to finding out a synth has been disproven.

The only way to know for sure is to kill them, or download the advanced settlements control mod on the nexus which has an option to show you who is a synth.

What, one NPC who says, "when oi was of legal age, oi was sold boi me moom and dad as a sloive, wow that sure was messed up Ay" dancing around the issue so as to not say anything that might spook the children.

The game is a sterile, corporate, kids friendly theme park ride of a fallout game, throwing in minecraft elements and enhancing the shooting segments and stripping out skills to maximise sales and minimise the skill barrier.

I understood the change as being a consequence of the shift from isometric to 3D FPS. Just install The Walking Dead for New Vegas and you will see that walking ghouls are extremely easy pickings.

It would be, because that's what Fallout used to be for the most part: facing the entire Khan camp was something to seriously considered. In Fallout 3 you are killing raiders left and right after leaving the Vault.

It's also why I feel Ghost Town Gunfight is a huge wasted potential because of the gameplay of New Vegas inherited from FO3: it's just too easy, and thus convincing the townsfolk to help you out is trivial.

I used to think like you before, but then I thought it better and it makes perfect sense: you don't talk about a game that did a lot of things better than your game, and "we didn't make it" is a fantastic excuse that falls apart under scrutiny. How can you possible ignore the good things it did in favor of getting rid of skill checks altogether, adding a voiced protagonist and turning the game into a full blown shooter? Easy: by pretending that the last real title was Fallout 3 and NV was something else that doesn't count.

Fallout 3:

- Considerable amount of backstory.
- Heavy emphasis on combat, killing Raiders and Super Mutants left and right.
- Retarded skill checks based on dice rolls.

Fallout 4:

- Even more backstory, and this time your character has a voice to related even more!
- Even heavier emphasis on combat, but this time the combat is better!
- No skill checks except a Charisma roll.

In New Vegas' Making Of documentary the people explicitly talk about Fallout 3 and what they did to improve on it. They didn't talk about the things they improved over FO1 and FO2, but what did they do with the things that they felt Fallout 3 did well.

That Bethesda doesn't do the same has a logical reason, and frankly it would be worrying if I didn't already know they will never let go of Fallout.

I bought Fallout 4 on preorder because I had faith in the game and was betrayed. They made such grand, sweeping boasts about the game, all of which proved totally false. The game is focused entirely on putting teddy bears in LAWL FUNNY places instead of making a deep and engrossing story. The only people that actually give a fuck about any of the characters or events do so because it suits their specific tastes, which the game panders to. Piper's design is great, as is Nick's for instance. The adventurous, spunky journalist with a penchant for nicknames and the hardboiled noir detective with just the right voice. That's where the good shit ends, however.

An example is that in FONV, at Camp Forlorn Hope, the flag is flown upside down. You can help out with various problems the refugee camp is facing, including a mysterious sniper who is using guerilla tactics to kill refugees and NCR soldiers. Approaching with Boone or dressed as NCR when you manage to find the sniper results in a fight. Not seeming affiliated with them results in conversation, instead. You can cause him to stop fighting based on a speech check and go live with the Khans proper, you could convince him to go and punish the NCR directly by attacking Camp MacCarran (and he does a stellar job btw), or I think there's two other resolutions that I can't remember, one of which is probably to keep going as-is. However you resolve it, aside from maintaining the status quo, you obtain a way to get the last supplies from Khan caches and can deliver them to the Camp. If you don't warn them of the irradiated supplies, they still accept them gratefully, and the area becomes slightly irradiated shortly thereafter. Speaking with the refugees now reveals that they are experiencing radiation sickness symptoms and the supplies meant to help them, unwittingly, poison them further, killing the inhabitants and making the camp impossible to live in, vicariously exacting the Khans' revenge.
