Shaders strain the CPU the most, at least on High. Between Low and Medium you'll see minimum difference in performance, outside of extremely low-end or old CPUs.
Lighting is second on CPU strain, but for gameplay reasons you really never want it lower than medium, since seeing player shadows can win you rounds more often than you'd think.
And from what I've heard and tested, it seems v-sync will help keep the game from rendering more frames than your CPU can handle, which'll essentially max out its usage to 100% constantly otherwise, and as a result you'll get lots of micro-stutter, and potentially mouse stutter. I used to have major problems with both of those until I started using v-sync, which surprised me because until then I always thought v-sync was to be avoided like a plague.

I enjoy both but for shear effectiveness Mira is honestly amazing. Probably the best 3 armoured defender by miles. Her gun will basically win you any straight up gunfight and her gadget can be used in a ton of different ways depending on the objective site. All pretty easy stuff to learn as well.

Her major drawback is while you're really powerful most of the time, certain sites can fuck you over unless you think of a good place to put your mirror fast.

Cav on the other hand is kinda meh in ranked because people are more coordinated. In casual though she can easily dominate. Interrogations win games and her pistol is cool.

Her silent step is handy but nothing game changing. All in all she's good, but there are ways to counter her pretty easy and it requires a real focus on everything happening in the match.

He has the same movement speed as any other shield when his ability is active, which is slightly slower than just a regular 3 speed.
And his DMR is okay at best. It's definitely more useful than Twitch's since you actually get a time window to land another shot if you miss your first (or second), but the recoil gets really bouncy with the shield deployed, so almost anyone's going to prefer his Scar.
Fucking around with it in THunt made me realize it's actually really fun and controllable when you don't have his shield deployed though. Shame only he gets to use it, because why the fuck would you pick BB just to use a gun without his shield?

As long as you don't go starter edition the base operators will be easy enough to grind for and you'll have full access to DLC maps, it's just the DLC ops that'll be a pain to grind for.

Base game (NOT the starter edition) lets you get the base operators in maybe 20-30 hours or less, and no, none of the maps are DLC locked; they're all free.
Dlc operators are going to cost you the most playtime, but if you really enjoy the game it honestly won't feel like a grind to get the ones that appeal to you. And there's no shortage of gameplay of the DLC ops around, so you should know who you'll want to save up for no problem.

These have such high rate of fire, you should be using them to burst for headshots, or spray at close range and hope the body shots accumulate before they kill you. In both cases, ext. barrel would have no point. Especially the p90. It has such low damage, such a small difference between max and min damage due to range, and the MP5 has better overaldamage along with the Acog. You should take that instead of the p90 + ext. barrel for those ranges.
Any rifle you can equip it on, has medium or high recoil, so you'd want an attachment for to control that instead. It's pointless to worry about a few points of damage difference per shot, if the recoil throws off your aim and you miss more of those shots in the first place.
For the SMGs, the only good place for it is Frost's 9mm, as it can only take that or the suppressor, and even then the extended barrel may give away your position by sticking around a corner. The M12 and UMP45 have low recoil and fire rate, so you could consider using the ext. barrel there, but then again when are you ever going to be engaging enemies at 20+ meters as Caveira, Pulse, or Castle?

He said Ying's flash grenade thing doesn't shoot through walls like Fuze's gadget. It can either be rolled on the ground or mounted on a wall to fuck up roamers trying to come behind you. It's basically a non-lethal claymore. And yes her visor thing reduces the flash effect.
