The source of the Nile chain, Aegean civilisations and South Pole ones should have one as well so that you can see who won and change your sliders accordingly. I didn't even know the Aegean one had ended for me until years later.

Is playing a gsg MP inherently awkward and shitty, or is the real-time structure just something I have to git gud and adjust to?

I like taking my time in EU4, pausing frequently and constantly adjusting the game speed based off of what I'm doing. Playing a bit of MP sucked though, because I have to rush everything to keep up with the pace.

Hey HPM, I have a suggestion to make that would make the game a lot more historically accurate. There needs to be different province modifiers for different POPs.

E.g.
Arabs in a Goat RGO would receive the "Distracted" modifier which lowers the RGO output by 50%
Arabs in any food RGOs will receive the "Halal slaughtering" which lowers RGO output by 10%
Arab countries will not be allowed to import food from non-halal producing regions
Asian pops will require more wheat (for rice) as their basic needs and less from other food sources

If arabs make up 50% or more of a certain province, they will try to implement Sharia law (by decision) and if it fails, the province should get a permanent "Terrorist cells" modifier

Is it possible to mod the migration to account for a language barrier?

I think it would make sense if Portuguese POPs had a slightly higher chance to migrate to Brazil or Rio Grande de Sul, or really any nation with Brazilian culture.
Same principle applies for Spaniards, British, Irish, French (for Quebec) etc
I propose:
+15% pull factor for immigrants of the same primary culture
+12% pull factor for immigrants of a secondary culture
+10% pull factor for cultures that share the same language (e.g. for the US: British, Irish)
+5% pull factor for cultures of a similar language (e.g. for Argentina Portuguese, South Italian)

I would think this would mirror real life migratory paterns a lot better.

You can't mod migration destinations to be based off the POP's culture itself in any way. I learned that while trying for 2 days to get French POPs outside of France to migrate to France (Or rather, so POPs will migrate to countries of their own primary culture). What you can do is mod it so that countries whom'st has a certain accepted or primary culture or culture group becomes more or less attracted to another country which has a certain accepted or primary culture or culture group.

So you could make it that migrants from countries with Portuguese primary culture are more likely to go to countries with Brazilian primary culture, or that Iberian cultures are more likely to go to Latin American countries, but I wouldn't want that because if Spain blobs into France now the French are all going to flee to Brazil for some reason. And also it's one more thing to bog down the game's speed for something that doesn't matter, because immigrants assimilate to New World countries too quick for it to be meaningful in any kind of way in game terms.

You really do need to get into the mindset of the faggot atheist Redditor to understand why this game is so popular. These people have never heard of strategy games in their lifes that wasn't stuff like Civilization 5, they were completely alien to them.
