I wouldn't suggest that with a real pet, though. I developed an allergy to cats after cuddling with my cat come sundown one too many times. Don't get me wrong, in the moment, nothing could ever be as comfy. I had something nice and soft to squeeze and he'd nuzzle up to me and purr and be all cute until we fell asleep. He'd then snore and sometimes wake me up with how loud he was. Such a lazy, ugly, nasty, sweatheart of a cat.

And then, a little bit before he died, I started sneezing after too much contact with him. Similar things happened around just about every cat I'm too close to for more than an hour.

I doubt many could ever imagine just how far it would go, and just how unfathomably terrible things could get. The proliferation of shitposting has reached an all time high, which continues to grow higher and higher, day by day. The post-habbo/post chanology newfags gave us attention we did not need. The post-mortem usage of rage faces and other dead memes sealed the deal and gave way to irony - the siren song of those smart enough to know what's dumb but too dumb to know what's funny. It's been downhill ever since, with every generation of newfags learning form more and more idiotic oldfags. Each year, the faggotry gets even more concentrated, like the yellow bilirubin in a man's piss that gets more and more opaque each time he drinks it. I wonder if, one day it will reach critical mass, and things will topple over, and all that will be left are perhaps twelve posters hate-circlejerking and being bitter about everything, rendering 4chan as nothing more than the next incarnation of SomethingAwful: a site once considered the internet's "go-to" place, reduced to a wilted husk.
