Alright, just starting out in NMZ finally got enough for 1000 absorb charges. I seem to be just under breaking even on easy but obviously not in optimal gear or stats (66 str/60 def)...

This gets better with Obby cape/obby legs/B. gloves, berserker ring, and amulet of fury w/ 75 def + higher str right?

because the offense is so ridiculously strong
take a look at some of the ancient magic spells other than ice spells, they've all got their unique perks and with the right gear you'll hit hard as fuck
you don't need special abilities with ancients, they have their own abilities and sodo some of the normal magic spells
the normal magic debuffs aren't really for pvp anymore, back in the old days though when everyone and their mother couldn't afford to pk with restore potions, they were really good

God spells + Charge is extremely strong as well, those are on the normal spellbook.

Not to mention staying on normal spellbook grants you access to teleport block which I don't think you need me to tell you how amazing that is! Although reddit forced jmods to make magic/max skillcape even more OP so you could change your spellbook many times throughout the day on the whim lol.

Yes, they made blowpipe completely unusable in BA which essentially means that no records will ever be beaten again, and that only melee is viable at all now. It also is annoying because the purpose of blowpipe was not only damage, but range so you could stay away from healer aggro range.

I believe it was uncalled for since literally nobody is made happier by this change. All it does is another step to kill of one of the last active minigames that isn't only played for rewards.

If you train Agility to 80 and Alch, you can get a good magic level and Marks of Grace will pay for any loss from alching, while also funding your gear setup in the future. From then on you should train range by cannoning slayer task for a blowpipe and you'll be fine at Barrows.

Alternatively, if you're feeling lazy, only alch agility until 70 then kill Blue Dragons at Taverly, teleport to Falador to bank, and repeat. Although instead of teleporting to Falador, I'd recommend being on world 330 instead and teleporting to your house in Rimmington, leaving, then joining someone else's house to use their ornate pool and teleportation portal to Falador.

They can be safespotted but its a lot faster to just fight them the normal way. The safespot makes a huge difference since its literally at the entrance and puts you exactly where the Blue Drags are.

It's definitely doable at your stats, but I'd really recommend 70+ stats with gear being:

Helm: Neitiznot (You should really have this since its free) > Torags

Amulet: Torture > Fury > Glory

Cape: Infernal > Fire (You should have this by now with your stats) > Obsidian

Body: Bandos Chest > Torso > Obsidian (You should have either Torso or Obsidian by now) > Torags > Proselyte

Legs: Bandos > Obsidian > Proselyte

Boots: Prims > Dragon (You should have these too)

Gloves: Get Barrows Gloves ASAP if you don't have them already.

Ring: Berserker Ring > Warrior Ring

Weapon: Zam Hasta > Whip (I'd really recommend getting this ASAP too)

Shield: Dragonfire > Anti-Dragon
