Maw hasn't had infinite iframes since his T2 passive was added that increased his attack speed. Odin also has an iframe of his own and he loves to spam it repeatedly to eat away at your HP, thus you need on-demand healing of some kind.

Odin also has that refreshing barrier so characters like Maw won't even make enough hits to actually damage him through it. Dormammu can just get killed even with a 5-second invincibility obelisk if you get unlucky.

Strange, Wolverine, and Uni-Thanos are your best options for clearing those missions. Once they're cleared with three stars, you'll be using tickets on them for the rest of time anyway, so it's not a big deal. Just get a meme and be done with it.

DDE is the best non-attack/non-healing set (in so far as its the only one whose proc isn't completely useless compared to the other shield sets, SCD sets, or defense sets), but it's still inferior to them. Attack sets are universally useful. IAAG gives good stat boosts and you can boost the healing with RR which can make it good for longer battles or save your ass if it procs at the right time. SB is good for reflection tanks like Destroyer and Luke Cage.

I have DDE on my T2 Chulk and it helps him tear shit up since he doesn't really have any i-frames but has plenty of damage reduction and health so the shield will basically act as a limited damage immunity while it's proc'd, but I wouldn't go out of my way to roll it. If I happen to roll DDE on a character who I'm not super invested in then I'll leave it but that's about it.
