The point about MTX was simply GGG is fucking shit lazy at it. Nothing but bulky unisex armors across the board. Even the "caster" ones are super bulky.

Obviously because it's piss easy to attach to all the different models and actual good stuff would be too hard.

You know there are more character types people like besides DEMON DUDE with bulky ass armor.

Putting demon wings, big fuck off armor, and a glow out the ass makes zero sense on like 2/3rd of builds people actually pllay.

I want to sustain with a build that can't leech. What's the easiest way to do this without taking the zerker warcry node? Other option seems to be high regen from end charges but that seems to get to about 20% before having to include a bunch of shit tier uniques.

Different times. The "challenge" was to reach 100 back then. Everyone was happy just trying to survive to a higher level. Now that 100 can be reached with ~4 days in-game grinding an easy map even without leaguestones, people would demand heads if there was another league like Tempest. Read the ES manifesto linked in the OP.
