That isn't really the case. Running outside and killing a defender is a bread and butter tactic.

Claymores slow this down because the defender now has to contend with shooting the claymore unelss they're just greedy and immediately look out to kill the person.

Not for blocking windows or reinforced walls. 1 jammer can cover the space of 2 batteries as well as block windows, doors and stop drones. Additionally, the enemy knows when a wall is electrified, so they wont waste a charge on it. With a jammer theyre going to lose their fidget spinners or at least waste time peeling the charge off and expose themselves further while you can reasonably tell where they are.

I have Rook and Frost for defense, who should I get next? I'm considering Echo, even though the renown cost is pretty painful.

This will literally never happen. Siege isn't the first game to have these issues, and it won't be the last. If you wanna fix that kinda shit, you gotta fix an entire design philosophy inherent to most modern game devs, which is vertical progression even between what the game considers equals.

Warframe suffers from this as well, and the only thing they have to prevent it is rank-gating content so the most overpowered guns don't fall in the hands of early game players.

I'd love to have choice of equals-with-different-approaches in guns (and operators too) but there's always going to be a better gun, secondary, sight, operator, etc. because the whole game was designed from the ground up to be like this.

Usually I see people use the term laser gun referring to weapons that have a very fast recoil reset time as well as low recoil in general. The three that I would consider lasers are the MP5, Vector, and G36C.

Certain guns have both very small per-shot recoil and very predictable recoil patterns, so you can be very accurate even when firing full auto. Those are your "laser guns". Jackal and Hibana's assault rifles are two examples.

Thermite's gun isn't really one of them. You can give it a very predictable pattern with the right attachments, but it's per-shot recoil is still strong enough that it eventually becomes hard to control, especially at longer ranges.

I'm asking because for the past several days my team is always almost entirely made up of people level 20 and under while I'm 60. Occasionally there will be someone else around my level. I am unranked.

Other team is always minimum level 70, usually more around 120 but as high as 190.
