It was shown in a trailer to be future content. I don't think most of us are sure what it actually does yet.

The Stingray isn't so bad, but not good either.
Its lack of aiming reticle and the fact that its wall hack ability doesn't see people in Squid form make it a real pain. It takes like 7 - 8 hits to take someone out and it is to much of a pain to track someone.

The biggest problem is that it is to long to use. You are to long out of the action without being to much of a nuisance to the enemy. Like the Inkjet it long but that can constantly apply pressure to a wide area. Where as the Stingray might only do that on maybe Tower Control? It might be okay as Chargers as they usually hang back and snipe, but with a Splatling you are better off just using your normal gun on an area rather then using the Stingray. I think it needs a buff, but nothing to much. Just something to make it a bit easier to use.

If you're good at using it, it turns anyone trying to camp your jump into a splat for you instead. With ink resistance no longer locked to shoes and stealth jump nerfed, I would think this would be the meta. Especially with dualies rolling around everywhere wiping my team of shitters.

You can say "don't make risky jumps and it doesn't matter," but doesn't this skill open the door to opportunities you otherwise couldn't take? Genuinely curious. I've seen some really skilled players using it to pretty good effect.
