I actually whiff punish a decent amount of times but I have those moments where I could get a free launcher but did nothing instead. As far as block punishing goes, I need to work on that because I just default my fastest punish or do nothing. I have been blocking a lot of snake edges recently and just lows in general so I'm happy about that. Not really combo but rather I do the wrong move at certain times that cost me big.

Kazuya is all about his defence and punishing, his punisment game is the best in the game with amazing WS launchers, great 10f/12f punishes and ofc EWGF. So if you know exactly how to punish everything optimally kazuya is amazing... but i dont think thats likely

The defensive shit is the hardest stuff to learn in this game though, im learning heihachi and getting EWGF to punish shit is really damn hard even though my execution of the move is fine.

Is Wavedashing like a fucking maniac actually possible on pad or will it always be faster on stick?

I understand that for a new iteration of the series they wanted to make some new characters. I understand the rationale behind not including every character from previous Tekkens and negatives of letting the roster size getting out of control. I understand how new characters make the game more beginner friendly (which is good for Tekken) as veteran Tekken players don't have experience fighting against them, whereas against older characters they have.

That all said, the new characters suck and none of them are worthy replacement of older characters.

He's pretty easy, the gameplan with him is fairly braindead since you're always poking and pressuring, fishing for CHs when you can. The only tough parts about him in my opinion are optimal combos and trying to get in, since you don't have many long range moves outside of PAB f+2 and ALB+2.

Steve's main difficulty comes from having to learn what all of his moves and stances do, and how best to use them. It's kind of like a less tedious Yoshimitsu.

They're a little execution heavy. Nothing ridiculous like the Mishimas have but you will be throwing directional inputs all over the place cancelling in and out of stances. Steve's combos to me feel more about rhythm, if you get the feel for it then they're easy but if you don't you're going to be dropping combos at the first cancel.

What do you people do to control your nerves when playing Ranked?

I find myself losing more and more because of stupid mistakes I make when my brain goes full auto-pilot. It only makes me more mad and more prone to make such mistakes again.

Back in Tekken 4, Devil Jin was one of the most wanted characters, so when T5 came out, he was so hype that I played him. When T6 came about I was gonna drop him since I felt like he was a shitty character, but then I saw all his customization items and I had to play him for the fashion. Same reason I played Lee. Once I actually decided to git gud and learned Mishimas were the hardest characters, but also most rewarding and had a high skill ceiling, I said fuck it and picked who I thought was cool, D.Jin. Now I'm still maining him about 10 years later. He's so fucking cool and fun
