Meanwhile, TD forces you to grind 5 levels to get a single song, the events so far were pure grinds, the song selection is too small and there are only so many times you can take watching the gacha medal bar fill.
Not to mention, gameplay wise, TD offers less technical challenge, the bigger struggle to FC being against the UI and not the beatmaps.

I find the beatmaps to be more fun than SS because it follows the beat in a more drumlike way and it's enjoyable to hear. Most of the difficulty in SS revolve around the slides anyway (and I'd argue that some of them are "artificial difficulty").

I'm no expert, but I have a slight suspicion that they could've got more dosh with a stronger start. TD's dropped to rank 100 in the app store now.
People make fun of Bang Dream but that shit never dropped like this, and it doesn't even have 3D models, whereas TD has 3D models on stage and even commus and the theater building. TD is far more polished than BD ever was.
But BD keeps on releasing regular content, giving the average user something to do. And with these games, it's essential that you cater to the average user.

Jesus Christ. I admit that percentage I gave was low (should be 45-55% in my opinion), but the point is that you'll get a better appreciation for the character if you learn about the person voicing him/her, in addition to the background of how they were directed and their little quirks which occasionally diffuses both ways. Seeing them improve every year is nice to see.

The point is you need to know Moon (and live there) and follow people to get the full Imas experience. You don't need to care about the VAs and can manage just fine, but you're missing out on a way to more completely enjoy things.
