You should unlock the Beast Tribes as they come though. They'll have a blue marker just like story quests and they both give good 50-60 EXP relative to how little effort they take to do daily and their stories are pretty fun in their own right.

Also any Aether Current quests, same deal with the blue quest markers.

well first off, if were going to be as objective as possible, we would have to determine what a good population size is, because for a more popular job taking ninja as an example, there are ~808 ninja parses for halicarnassus and only 187 for neo exdeath, the first boss there are ~2042 ninja parses

secondly your choice of words, poor percentile means below average, yes in the context of that pool of players, however given the pool of players the ones that cleared neo exdeath are much more likely to be more competent than a large chunk of people who have cleared halicarnassus, an even larger chunk that can only clear catastrophe, and then probably a humongous chunk of people who can only kill the first boss

yes some people who haven't cleared can and may definitely be better than some who have cleared, but on the whole, surely the ability to clear speaks something of the talent of a player, otherwise every single person parsing high on the previous fights would have already cleared the next sequential fight, but even with their ability to perform well on the current boss, they still can't beat the next boss

I mean, you need a huge amount more data to determine anything about averages than is available for neo exdeath right now, but your statement is just logically incorrect because the population size for neo exdeath parses is within itself, and is only a sample of all the raiders doing savage content, you're already taking the loosely highest percentile of performing players and saying that a lower percentile would do better than them while they can't even perform at that level to begin with


then there's also the fact everyone has varying amounts of gear and numerous other factors that affect a fights outcome

you would then for the sake of progression, prefer to take someone who hasn't cleared a fight or has no indication of their progress on it, over somebody who has cleared the fight? raiding is 8-man and there is often enough gray area to where you can't make an exact decision in regard to who's better, but in this context, a healer cleared catastrophe with 3 percentile dps and adequate hps, I would take that over a healer who has cleared v1s with a ton of dps but still has no catastrophe clear (assuming this just isn't a healer that hasn't uploaded a clear or anything)

obviously theres a lot of gray, maybe the healer has proof they've seen enrage and know the entire fight but just can't nab a clear, maybe they do the near the best dps and great hps while doing so? but given off the original question, no, 3% is not worse than no clear, and the subject of healer competency ends there, because it is not the same as regular dps and therefore the entire tangent about higher dps meaning you're better does not apply
