For example, let's say there was a card that did piercing damage and was immune to being targeted by spells. The effect would have to literally just say that and take up a bunch of room, right?But if there was a symbol area, it could just have a little green circle slash, meaning no targeting by spells, and a pierce icon. I picked Kaiba at the beginning and I'm looking into structure decks. The dragon deck looks really strong, but I don't want to be railroaded into being stuck with dragon types forever. Yugi's spellcaster deck looks like it has more potential to branch out into bigger builds, but I also don't want to squander Kaiba's ability since it seems like I won't be getting Yugi for awhile. I eventually want to make a Warrior deck (maybe with Amazons?) and I know spellcasters and warriors tend to play nice together, but that seems like a long ways off.

You can get both but Draconic Force is a much better value. A lot of things in the Spellcaster deck aren't really that great, even the 4 star beaters like Neo are largely outclassed by Macabre from CK and Exemplar from DD.

I don't know that much about Yugioh so maybe I am wrong but I think that's how it should be. Synchro and XYZ are too easy to summon so the whole game revolves around them. Meanwhile Fusion and Ritual monsters are hard enough to summon to not force everyone to play them making the game lose variety.

How do you use trap cards in this game? I'm using Rope of Life, and the description reads that it activates when a monster is sent to the graveyard. I set it down and let the other character destroy one of my face down monsters, but then it didn't activate. Thinking I maybe had to be proactive, I destroyed another monster with the same level of attack for mutually assured destruction, and it still didn't activate. What gives? Do I have to take LP damage for traps to work?

Maybe I'm just retarded, but I really don't get how phoenix decks work. I've got the necessary cards, but I just don't see how it all comes together.

I get the individual effects, but I'm having trouble turning them into a cohesive strategy.

For example, I understand the main strat of:
>Fire King Island
>Use effect, summon Phoenix
>When Phoenix is destroyed, it comes back next turn and destroys all backrow including Fire King Island, which destroys all of your monsters
>You're then left with an empty field until next turn

More often than not, I end up with an empty field trying to stall until the phoenix comes back. Am I missing something?

Pretty much this, and I think Konami understands system bloat is driving away more fans than it's bringing in since they put so much effort into this app. On that note, does anyone know how successful DL has been for Konami? If it's a huge moneymaker, I wonder if it could influence how they treat the franchise going forward.
