Yep. The only benefits I've ever gotten from activating my Vita is that I could use Content Manager back when you needed it to transfer games. Now that you can use USB mass storage instead, that piece of garbage doesn't matter.

You can probably get away without having an activated Vita if you don't use PSN. Though you probably want to download a PSP demo so you can install Adrenaline, and that needs you to be activated.

I still don't know how to install plugins on vita.

I tried to install one that makes better screenshots but there's no readme or anything, I think the guy assumes everyone already knows how to install plugins at this point and I can't blame him. I tried following other guides but they are all different and they talk about folders I don't have.

I remember installing a couple of plugins a year ago but I forgot how I did it.

The Vita wont allow you to have more than 100 bubbles installed at the same time. I'm pretty sure that counts bubbles that Sony includes by default too. Why don't you just use USB Mass Storage mode? Install a new version of Vita Shell and press select. Make sure showing hidden files is enabled in Windows Explorer so you can see all the hidden directories.

If you still have CFW when you restart your Vita then it's working. Normal HENkaku doesn't persist across reboots.

Right. This is how it works.
